I've gotta know how you did the visuals! The edges of the island changing and extended down with each tile is genius.
I really like that the meta progress is just unlock paths within the trees and that it doesn’t seem like there’s any flat meta progression bonuses.
Like the cards you unlock are things that can appear in your next run and not just a passive where all your archery towers do 25% increased damage and you start with 2 instead of 1.
Very cool design and idea AND you managed to make a game that feels like it has some longevity to it with the various campaigns instead of a game that has longevity because you have to grind meta progression to ever stand a chance of finishing a run.
Instead of that, you have multiple campaigns.
A lot of the mechanics work like a board game - I love games like that

Dunno if it’s mentioned later in the vid but at 13:42 you can’t place the path as another path would be leading into a wall(the wall of the path), you can’t have loose paths that lead into a closed of structure, only into nothing, or into a path

Theres so much i like about this game.
The meta progression isn’t a series of passive bonus effects, you don’t get to make a choice in when and what you unlock, and it looks like it’s just based on how far you make it in the individual campaigns.
The longevity in the game looks like it comes from completing multiple campaigns.
I’m sure the meta unlocks do provide more power to your runs, but I don’t think the power boosts can really be that significant since these are all cards that may or may not show up in your next run anyway.
But it’s refreshing to see a tower defense in this style, and one where you physically choose how to expand your roads is a neat idea as well. No random splits at bad times causing you to instantly lose. No meta progress where your towers all just gain more damage passively at the start of the run.
This game is super fun to watch! Please make this a series
What I really love is that health isn't just your standard health, but can be used as a resource in a way, such that you sacrifice a bit but might gain more economy if you didn't place tiles before.
Definitely interested in seeing more of this! Love new takes on tower defense games!

The real enemy in this game is the city council. I had to go to the black market to buy a one block long strech of straight road.

@@gexianhen well I just saw this vid and rogue tower you only get to wave 15 in the first runs 1/3 and in this game you get to 60% so I thought It was easier

@@Benjilovescats i dont remember tbh. This game is more a Puzzle game than a Tower defense game i feel. The unlocks dont give u more power, only add new options that may not even come up since is all random. In rogue tower u can buy straigh up power ups that will help u win more. ( Still wave 26 has been my best after 6 hours of gameplay) need to git gud
