A lot of people are off of Instagram because of mental health...
And a lot of people are off of TikTok because it's bad for your brain to consume that much content at once..
On on top of how much wasted time can be consumed by ticktock and Instagram, they really are unhealthy platforms..

CZcams is the only social media I go to regularly. I’m off Facebook and Instagram for mental health reasons and I missed the boat on the snapchats and TikTok platforms - just not my thing. So I always appreciate your straightforward makeup videos. Please keep ‘em coming.

I love this format, but I miss your longer make up tutorials with in depth tips, tricks and great techniques on how to achieve different looks.
I’ve been a subscriber since 2016 and I miss your longer youtube tutorials. I completely boycott tiktok because it’s Chinese and if I can do anything to protest that horrific regime I do. I also don’t use instagram. I understand you have to go where the money is, Melissa, but you’re one of the most talented makeup artists on youtube and I truly miss your tutorials.

You have always been my favourite makeup youtuber to watch. I started watching you because of your hair tutorial back in like 2016 and I always thought you had the best makeup techniques and knowledge on beauty in general. I don’t think you should get too worried about keeping up with the new tik Tok type videos, a lot of people still prefer a nice long makeup tutorial and yours were one of the best in my opinion so please try to reconsider making them again, still a forever supporter ❤️

I won’t do TikTok. I understand that y’all need to capitalize on various platforms, but I find it superfluous to IG. I follow you there, but I prefer CZcams for tutorials, because it’s more cohesive. Given the shady dealings with TikTok, I’d rather not follow the lemmings.

Hey Melissa. Just an FYI. Buy yourself a bamboo expanding silverware holder like the ones for kitchen drawers. Lay a paper towel in each slot. Lay your double sided makeup brushes in each slot. Keeps them nice and uncontaminated.

I don't know why you are abandoning your 600k+ audience here on CZcams that made you who you are now for tik Tok and instagram. and for what? really wish you would bring back your original content and long make up tutorials.
It’s called taking care of my mental health… Myself as well as a lot of your favorite influencers who have been doing this for a while feel exhausted trying to keep up with all the various social media platforms. We reached a point where we felt we were only living our lives through a screen and not experiencing it in the moment as we should. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about my CZcams channel but every day that goes by and I’ve created content for tik tok, Instagram stories and in feed posts and then Friday roles around and I’m like SHIT, CZcams… which takes significantly longer time to produce. I don’t need to make excuses to protect my mental health but I thought you deserved an explanation when your telling someone who’s mentally hurting that they’ve abandoned their audience.

I’m not saying not to look after your mental health but I was making a point of how influencers are abandoning CZcams for Insta and tik tok because that’s where the money is, I presume. and my question was is the financial gain from those platforms significantly better to justify this. If so then I wish it wasn’t and if not then I hope you find a better balance between the two
On the mental health front, if anything the demands of platforms like tik tok and Instagram is far more exhausting mentally than I think CZcams where as you alluded to it is more a long form content and takes more time. But obviously $$ is key

Just so you know, here is everything that when into this video
- filming 2+ hours
- editing, several half days of creating different versions (extended and 1 minute cuts)
- downloading and uploading to tik tok, Instagram and CZcams
- captions for each platform
- looking up each product used for the exact name, color, and linking so that they are easily clickable
- searching a copyright free song to use for CZcams while making sure songs selected in app on tik tok and IG sync with the cut down version
- responding and interacting with all of you on each platform 🥰
Point is, I filmed this a week ago and it took me that long to post everything thoroughly on each platform! Just trying to maximize one piece of content that took hours upon hours to create versus it just living in one place
I prefer talk through videos, nothing more than 10 - 12 mins... appreciate this upload...
