    The fact guardiola chimes in on money spent across the big clubs. Wasn’t he the same person that spent 100M on 2 fullbacks in one window

      Sure, just in the last two seasons:
      Grealish - 100m flop
      Doku - 65m flop
      Gvardiol - has started well
      Nunes - flop
      Kovacic - solid player

    Arteta isn’t really a “throw ‘em to the wind” type of manager, is he? For all of the character / process analysis done, you’d think people wouldn’t be surprised about slim opportunities for the youngsters. We’re not even seeing ESR or Veira or etc rotation (rightly or wrongly!). I’d like to see some new young faces, but I can’t really disagree w/ the argument here.
    The caveat is the games that we were multiple goals ahead and in full full control (2024, possibly). But, even then, I don’t quite remember what the benches looked like. Give some of these dons a go, imo.

    We need to buy a couple more of Britain's best 21-23 year old players, to replace the ones we're losing...Domestic players are good for continuity and team character...and failing to maintain a large core of these players leads to the dilution of the club's character, and the club becoming uncompetitive

    Reminds me of that Trevor Noah joke where him being South African always cheering for other country teams to win their games so that South Africa can go through or qualify ..." Come on Gabon!" Arsenal fans should just answer the following question: What would mean more, Spurs winning the game and Arsenal winning the PL, or Spurs losing and City winning the PL...? For one night im a Spurs fan, but just like Rob don't come near me with no Spurs shirt please, its not that deep lol.

    Pep is just protecting his profile, he doesn't want the "money" issues to negate from his management skills and i cannot really blame him. Yes, a lot of half truths and he chose to forgt about other factoys but he has to do the spin stuff😂😂😂.
    Just like when people say he had "Messi" or when he managed the best team in Germany with a mass of money....each team he has managed has had advantages but he has to make sure people talk about his skills first.

    Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Newcastle have played lots of youth players this season. So either our academy is dusty or the manager needs to look at himself. We’ve had games won at half time this season and still Saka plays the full 90 or Cedric comes on. When young players leave for free, it also hampers us in the transfer window. Arteta needs to fix up next season sharpish.

      @garygriffin3647 Před 20 dny +2

      There's nothing wrong with going on loan to prove yourself you don't see anyone criticising pep for selling youth players or drip feeding the youth into the team. Look how long it has taken Phil foden to be playing regularly. I'm sure if we had players good enough to be in an around the first team, I have no doubts arteta would give them their opportunity. Many of our fans have been screaming for changes during the season and criticising arteta for not doing so. And then low and behold when the team has changed arteta is criticised for not picking the strongest team and being blamed for games where we've drawn or lost. The villa game at home is the one that sticks in my mind. I disagree with the notion arteta doesn't give players chances if your good enough you will play for Arsenal.

    • @jeffreyAdewaleIge

      They will get chances if The manager believes they are good enough , it's literally his job to pick the team.

    • @gsbealer
      @gsbealer Před 20 dny +1

      As the quality of our squad increases, it’s bound to be harder for youth players to get a nod. A youth player has to be the cream of the crop to get a place.

    • @TGFLdn24
      @TGFLdn24 Před 20 dny

      That's not real world thinking. Did you see a bag of youth players at Chelsea 4yrs ago leaving when they had no chance of getting first team football? Some of the talented ones know they may not land a "perfect" club once they leave the Cat 1 protected home of Arsenal FC academy.
      The bar has been raised the last 2yrs, the young players have to step up to the plate too.

    • @gsbealer
      @gsbealer Před 20 dny

      You probably would, because you wouldn’t be Saliba, Saka, or Martinelli material, and only the cream come through. You’d probably be ‘milk’ and so you’d have to go to an inferior quality club. Nketiah is a prime example of just how good you’d have to be, and he’s going bye bye.

  • @TGFLdn24
    @TGFLdn24 Před 20 dny

    No offence but glad "Nuance of faith" made those comments, just to show some of the mindless rubbish that comes from people 😂😂😂.
    ...and by the way, Wolves have a system where a agent is pulling strings by getting a largely Portuguese players and players from the Portuguese league into the club, it's not like they actually done any active scouting as a club 😂😂. God bless Mr Faith......

  • @garygriffin3647
    @garygriffin3647 Před 20 dny +1

    I dont get the criticism around our youth players not getting their chance. Take Charlie Patino for example he was on loan at Blackpool and wasnt even a guaranteed starter for them when they had plenty of injuries in midfield ,and that's at league one ,so this notion that he should be given minutes and its the clubs fault is bizarre. Bottom line is he has not taken his opportunity if he would of shined at both his loans or even one of them he would of been integrated into our first team. But even then because he has potential its my understanding that he was offered a contract. The fact is 98 % of players in youth teams dont make it. And you get the odd one or two in a generation that are clearly exceptional that's the same for every club apart from Barcelona and they are an exception because their academy has had millions invested in it plus they have a reputation for over 30 years of hoovering up exceptional youth players and because of that reputation the best youth players in world football see them as the pinnacle. The truth is most youth players are used to generate funds for the first team.
