Tobi Adegboyega, a Nigerian pastor with ambitious dreams, embarked on a transformative journey that saw him rise to prominence as the founder of the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation).
Born on 11th November 1980, Tobi Adegboyega grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. In search of opportunities and to pursue his divine calling, he took a leap of faith and moved to London in 2005. Striving to make ends meet, he shared accommodation with his cousin, the renowned actor John Boyega, while working as a kitchen porter.
In 2008, Adegboyega took a momentous step and founded SPAC Nation with a humble congregation of only three members. The church’s mission was to engage with young people and communities, offering them a chance for redemption and a pathway away from crime and violence.
SPAC Nation gained attention for its unconventional approach of encouraging criminals to relinquish their weapons at the church’s altar during services. This act garnered both praise from those who believed it offered a chance at rehabilitation and criticism from skeptics who questioned the strategy’s efficacy and potential risks.
