Fun Fact: The story is basically this little pink creature (His canon name is Blixer) took apart the tree of "power triangles" (or triangles of power, whatever you want to call them) to consume and become all powerful, to bring his reign of rock and techno music and rule for all eternity. And you (the little blue shape) must stop him.
If you notice, the corrupted power triangles and aspects of this geometrical world become corrupted by Blixer's power (and the corrupted power triangles themselves) to fight you.
The standard music levels have checkpoints while the boss levels do not and you have to start over from the beginning of the song each time you fail.
Your little buddies are that one blue square with a face, the helicopter, and the pirate ship. The rest are mostly just "fans" and "extras". Sorta like Waddle Dees from Kirby or Toads from Super Mario games.
The only "sentient" creatures are the bosses. Even though the normal music levels look like something's trying to attack you, it's mostly just shapes and beats. XD
He doesn't have canon name, he is nameless officially. "Blixer" is fan-made name.

I don't know why, but like you said, "Try This" song has a reference or more like a story, but not in the way you think. So basically in "Try This", you're a robber who's trying to steal a jewel from a bank, those circle that explode are a light ray (i'm just gonna call it light ray) from a watch tower, and those square like thingy that shoot four way lasers is a sniper aim and when the laser shoot that's when the sniper shoot, oh and also sirens.
After a couple minutes, you've reached inside the vault where the jewel is kept, but the guards caught you and the jewel gets hidden by a security system, and like i mentioned before, those circle and square like thingy that shoot lasers are... well you know, and/but those shuriken things are bullets that the guards shoot
This isn't a canon fact, it's just what i think it is, but maybe it's actually canon
This game is such a vibe even if sometimes it can be quite a challenge.

Something fun about the "Close to me" fight, is the game forces you towards the center, the safest place is "Close to them"

i do think you'll be happy to hear about the party mode where you got double hp and no hit sounds to ruin the vibes, it's great for if you're at a party and you can just pick it up and play with friends locally and then leave it in place of the stereo, it even goes from track to track randomly with no pausing except for, well, the pause button. no deaths, no end (except for you exiting), and no thing but fun

In 55:40, you haven't noticed what was happening below you. A Lycan ( those spiky things you fought in Lycantrophy, just that uncorrupted) was getting knocked by a piston and grabbed by a claw.

Advice from a rhythm game player, focus can actually be your downfall if you are focusing too hard on not getting hit. Generally, having a good time and relaxing can get you much farther than putting all your energy into one thing or portion of a song.
I must admit that looking at the thumbnail, it was only going to last 18 minutes, but I didn't realize how long it was. epic

I do want to let you know, when you beat the final stage of just shapes and beats, there will be something that is called “The Lost chapter”. that was originally going to be the beginning of the game, but they scrapped it until 2021 (might be early 2022), when “The lost Chapter” was added.
also, there's another mode that you might want to try out called “hardcore mode”. it is a lot more difficult than normal mode, which is based around the story mode and challenge mode if you want to play online with other players.

The first song played in this was so nostalgic for me, I remember years ago a bunch of my favourite CZcamsrs using the same music (or the not remixed version if this was, I just remember the main part), anyway Nenaa’s commentary is hilarious and fun and the music is just so fun

The lost chapter is a DLC that is cut content from the story (with a few improvements to make to fit in) and it actually explains a lot and takes about 20-30 minutes to do. It's also harder than the main story but not stupidly hard. I would love to see a video with that DLC and then I'll be happy for you to leave this game be until the next major update or (possibly) a sequel to come out which I doubt but it doesn't hurt to hope.

Hey hey! Another JSAB player here! I just wanted to say the extra characters you meet have names from the fandom! The square with the triangles on its head is named cube the helicopter is named heli the boat is named ketches and the pink circle dude is named Blixer!( this is all according to the fandom)

Ok I get that you said you will likely do the other stuff on your own time but the "Lost Chapter" is another part of the storyline that tells even more lore, if you didn't notice when you beat the boss at the start of the volcano, the spot you went into to fight them gets closed off with a little Medal looking thing with a triangle on it, that is there not just to say you beat it but is also acting as a "barrier" that keeps the boss trapped within the level so they can't come out with you an do more harm. The Lost Chapter shows how Blixer got out.
It would be nice to see your reaction to seeing that but it's completely up to you to decide that. just go back into story mode to get access to the Lost Chapter.

Lycanthropy, from psychology sciences, is a mental illness (or a mental state) where the person believes (product from a delusion) that he/she is a werewolf or is transforming into one.
Is linked with werewolves urban legend (I mean, all that things related to Full Moon, werewolves, and so on).
Is important to not confuse "Lycanthropy" to "Werewolving", 'cuz the last one is an actual condition (fictional, of course) where the person, in Full Moon periods, and when certain time was approached, actually transforms into a werewolf. However, the first one is just a mental illness, without transforming really.
That's why that boss song is called Lycanthropy, Cardi (the artist) took the name for the song as a reference to that, and also because if you listen carefully, you can hear in the song some wolves making the "awhooo" sound, in the background.
I listen to a lot of these songs monthly cause they’re all bangers, also even after u beat story mode there’s still tons of songs left to play and also more difficult story levels to play

The spinning bacon, rotating in one direction with this music... This made me tear up. How could such a bacon do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a piece of bacon I have ever seen especially on 57:42. I am crying. This has made me go through an emotional rollercoaster. I cried, beat off, and also watched a movie while watching this
