What I like about them using a goofy code is that Snake actually acknowledges that it's dumb, so it doesn't really feel like an overused trope, imo.

I thought this movie was just gonna be another cringy snoozefest aimed at kids, but from the clips I’ve seen so far, it seems like a genuinely entertaining movie, might actually have to give it a watch
Kinda sad to see that this movie’s marketing campaign went down the same route as Spies in Disguise. It’s a real shame because both movies absolutely rock
It is aimed at kids, but it's good. I mostly like the character designs. They're fairly consistent and the animation style is actually quite charming. Definitely recommend.
It's very entertaining for sure. The story is pretty predictable but that's not really a negative because it's all about the characters who are super entertaining and fun

Bro they flirting so much and they’re so confident I think that’s great. Also opposed to many people I think it’s even better that they didn’t kiss or go any farther because it leaves the audience wanting more and those uncomfortable with it satisfied. I’m ok with them being friends honestly.

They probably did start dating after the events of the movie but I am still glad they didn't put kissing and stuff in the movie cause it's more about Mr Wolf's friendship with Mr Snake, Ms Tarantula, Mr Shark, and Mr Piranha, not his relationship with Diane. Plus it would have been cliche for them to have super romantic moments now cause it would feel like Mr Wolf is trying to be good to get with Diane and not because he actually feels good doing good

Is nobody gonna comment on the art style of this move? Most 3d cartoons generally look terrible but this animation looks flawless.
The blending of 2D and 3D is seamless which is an amazing feat on its own

this is the first dreamworks movie in a damn long time that actually had me excited. Almost entirely because of it's animation style

DreamWorks has done a lot of great stuff, but are often dismissed because of a few bad ones. Megamind, Shrek 1 and 2, the Kung fu Panda trilogy, the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, and of course Prince of Egypt are all on par with (or better than) most of the stuff Disney and Pixar makes.
I remember hearing a film critic once say, “if you’re gonna make an animated film, show me something you could never pull off realistically in live action” and this film had so many moments like that for me.
They knew exactly what they were doing with Diane. She's definitely the kind of character who makes you say "I'm not a furry, but...." XD

i didn't know the context of the song i only heard the soundtrack and knew they were criminals so my first thought was that the long pauses and singing of each sentence at the start was some sort of distraction

A really REALLY small detail I just noticed, 3:37. The Bad guys are genuinely enjoying themselves. They feel good. Look at Mr. Snake especially. But also Ms.Tarantula looks shocked if you notice. This is a side of them she's never seen before. It's a neat minor detail that I thought shouldn't go unnoticed.

What I love about DreamWorks animations is that there atleast this part where the character's actions syncs altogether with the background music. It's very satisfying to watch the characters dance in sync with the song

Music instruments isn't everybody's interest.
For reference:
a bass has 4 strings (and therefor 4... screws? at the head (pointy end) to tighten them)
a guitar has 6, sometimes 12, strings
and while I know a bit about instruments, I couldn't tell one car from another or what an actor on TV has also acted in. just not my interests.

My god, something about the dance choreography in this movie with the wolf and the fox is so DAMN satisfying. Especially when that wolf does the snap. Possibly better than the action sequences.

This is one of the scenes of this movie that make me love it so much. The tension and chemistry between Wolf and Diane is awesome and adorable, and the choreography of the dance is absolutely amazing. Pair that with the song (which is awesome, I love it) and you have this masterpiece. There's also just something very satisfying about animated characters dancing to the beat of the music being played.
