It's time for yet another ROM Hack Oak Challenge! I haven't actually tried doing this since Blue Kaizo, and since I'm not interested in touching Gen 2 with a 10 foot pole for a few more months outside of the PokeWalker POC, I figured a Gen 4 ROM hack with such hype behind it like Renegade Platinum would be the best bet. In renegade platinum, you actually don't need to go to the underground to get the fossils. The female scientist in that building gives you 3 of each and the old Amber. I think this would save a bit of time but ig you'd still have to get the stones. Just a nice little tip for anyone playing renegade platinum.
The stones are a available in the Veilstone Department Store tho

People that play the romhack with Twilight Menu in their DSi: I don't have such weaknesses
The problem is that any game will detect the pokémon as "hacked" unless you edit it in PKHex
That can cause you a ban from online

If you can transfer to Gen 5, you can probably transfer to Gen 6, 7 and 8.
Which, last time I checked, still have online functionality.
@@HogtreeOctovish Your point? I don't know anyone (nor would I expect anyone) to transfer a pokemon from a romhack to a legitimate cartridge because that's way more difficult and tedious than editing a pokemon with any other software.

You can evolve Electabuzz in Electivire, cause wild Elekids also have a 5% chance to hold a Electirizer.

I'm not sure if this was changed, but in Renegade Platinum, you could go to the beach below Twinleaf and get a Manaphy egg from a little girl.
Edit: Guess Dray removed it, because it was there in an older version.

The fact that there is 12 pokemon in section 1 that evolve at level 36 and he said almost all of them back to back is insanely funny

fast enough aaaaa- I did replay it with the speed patch though
One tip for fully evolving Pokemon faster was made use of the stats trainer (Cheryl, Mira, Riley, Marley, Buck) during the double battle as much as possible before they're gone since your Pokemon will earn exps of 2 Pokemons in 1 battle. Hope that it help for other people who want to try Renegade Platinum POC.

hey chaotic, i’ve just started my own one of these and have just started the evolve process of the first section ( before roark ) i have found 3 shinies 1 being my starter (chimchar) one nidoran female and one larvitar :)

Also I know this is a very late comment so I doubt you'll see it but I really like that you're taking on the pokewalker poc I always love to see when people work on themselves while doing something love to do. Whether it's physical or mental, you go girl.

I've caught everything for the first section one zigzagoon at 33 right now and everything else is either fully evolved or at level 25. 35 rare candies right now. It's a challenge but needed something to do at work since they are fine with you being on your phone. Couldn't remember what the zigzagoon needed to be at 51 for so came back. I have 9 kings rocks and 2 dusk stones from pickup right now. Hoping the luck keeps up. Also too many shinies. The only pokemon I haven't found shiny in the route north of oreburgh is rhyhorn. Found a duplicate machop and phanpy too.

Hey chaotic. Based on what you said in the video I dunno if you know or not but this game gives you all the fossils in the explorer guy’s house so you don’t have to find them in the underground. Just an FYI for the next time you try to place this particular rom hack at all
This gave me stress and back pains just from hearing the amount of grinding you did

Hey chaotic idk if you know this but if you use a hack 3DS and load the rom into the home menu as a game then you can actually trade and battle with other legit games! So you can transfer that caterpie

fun fact though renegade platinum can trade the pokemon to authentic gen 4 games if you really wanted to keep the shiny catterpie if you are playing it on a ds flash cart.

You should do a Pokémon insurgence professor oak run, I started working on one a bit ago, got about half of the Pokémon and then got burned out

For eevee, do you need the stone rorark gives you to get espeon or umbreon or can you still evolve it the normal way?
As far as I know, every Eeveelution in ren plat is stone based
your starter and all wild pokemon , trainer pokemon etc only attack move is Metronome

I did this in april of this year it took me 93 hours total i did it on my Dsi Xl with an R4 card it was very challenging and fun im exited to see how long it takes you chaotic

Did I miss something, or wouldn't evolving the gift Eevee with friendship free up an elemental stone to evolve another Pokemon (like getting Poliwrath or Vileplume) in the first section?
They don't evolve by friendship in this game, it's exclusively via stone.
@@ChaoticMeatballTV I figured that might be the case, but why did they only remove the friendship requirement from Eevee? You can obviously attest to the fact that there are definitely some friendship evolutions that remain. Unless it was specifically a time-of-day thing (I know you probably don't have the answers for this, I'm more just wondering aloud)

Renegade Platinum has increased odds, it's 1/512, I'm sure you could be able to find one again with some time.

Nice so far, but couldn't you evolve Eevee to Umbreon/Espeon and use the Water Stone on Lombre instead? So your number could've been 1 higher.
Not in Ren Plat, eeveery eeveelution is stone based

@@andy120195 No, pickup can get you dusk, dawn and shiny stones, none lead to an Eeveelution even after the changes in Ren Plat
Wish I knew the pickup table earlier to train a Zigzagoon and get some stones, though

Wouldn't you get 182 before badge 1 if you got umbreon or espeon and used the water stone on say lombre?
You can't get Umbreon or Espeon without a Moon/Sun Stone due to evolution changes in RenPlat.
