BEST FAN NOISE with BLACK SCREEN FOR SLEEPING (ten hours)

- Hey, we're The Get Right Band. We're a psychedelic indie rock band from Asheville, NC. We spend a lot of time touring and we know how useful white noise can be... sometimes you need to drown out your band mate's snoring, or you're at a hotel and construction starts next door at 7 AM but you didn't go to bed until 4 AM, or your band mate wants to listen to ABBA in the van and you seriously need to block it out. So we made a few of these white noise videos that we thought would be perfect for drowning out noise, sleeping, relaxing, whatever. This one is the classic white noise fan sound... not the kind of fan that cheers after a show, the kind that gently whirs you to sleep.
For anyone who's interested, we recorded this with a Shure SM7B (we love that mic!). We used the very fan that we always bring into hotel rooms to sleep to, stuck that Shure mic up to it, and recorded it on medium for a few minutes. We brought the recording into Logic and looped it for 10 hours (using some crossfades to make the looping completely unnoticeable). We decided to pair it with a black screen for anyone who really just wants the audio and wants their screen to be as dark as possible.

I always thought I needed absolute quiet while sleeping so I can hear if someone breaks into my house or what if one of my kids need me well, after years of not sleeping I have decided I rather sleep! My husband complains that he feels like he’s in a Boeing 747 engine as he falls fast asleep! Now I tune out kids, husband’s snoring and the robbers. Perfect!!
I keep mine on low so I can hear important sounds, but not the sounds of the house or rustling.

The uploader has no control over if there are ads or not. But one tip I heard is when first play a video, skip to the end and hit replay, and that should solve.

Texas is enduring an unprecedented winter experience right now, and to cope with it our power is being cycled on and off. Thankful for this because I sleep with a fan every night, and without it the room is too quiet. What a life saver.

To me, it is interesting at how sometimes fate has a hand in determining need and popularity. The GRB issued this post to their channel last year not knowing that, as a nation we'd be sorely tested as feeling human beings. I really enjoy the soothing sound that a fan produces. This post has given me many hours of restful sleep and I want to thank the GRB for their contribution to the collective good.

There's a theory that terrible weather including thunderstorms and heavy rain put off nocturnal predators from hunting, and that as a genetic memorial throwback from cave days we have learnt that we can relax in such weather as long as we're sheltered.

This morning at 3:30am I was startled to hear an Energizer Max commercial. This blared on at the 5:59 mark of the video! I was amazed! I’ve never heard an interruption in the only white sound video I ever sleep by. This one is the perfect sound for me.
Yeah that sucks, sorry. We have the ads set to only show one ad at the very beginning of the video, which you can skip after 5 seconds. Every once in a while someone posts that they got ads in the middle. When we emailed CZcams about that glitch they said that people having that issue should follow these troubleshooting steps to try and fix the issue that they're experiencing:
-Clear the cache and cookies of your web browser (or YT app)
-Try doing the steps while in an incognito window
-Update your device's software and web browser
-Log out and back in of your account
-Try doing it on a different device

Tonight was double ads in beginning and a bit after middle. 6 hrs 25 mins in was when I got a third and fourth ad. Creator toggles monetization on and off now and chooses a time usually after 5½hours to 6½ hours.

Holy cow do I need this ! Lol. I had no idea how hooked on and how much better I sleep with a fan going. I have always slept with a box fan going even in winter lol. My box fan broke a couple days ago and I can't stand the sound of silence and I really miss my fan . It's so very soothing and relaxing listening to this fan. Thank you so much for making this video.

I found this sound 1 month ago when I was in the hospital having my baby because I had no fan and im currently still in the hospital and will be for another 4 to 6 weeks and this just soothes me since I can't sleep without a fan on.
