Both low-priced sound and good headphones, PR1 is true to its name.

I just ordered one after watching your review. That cable looks great too. I snagged it for around $53 US, yeah with vouchers and coupons.

@@electromod6369 I have to say the difference between this and something like the ZS10 Pro was immediate. Things that were subtle before are now very noticeable yet nothing else is lost in the process. At first I thought I was hearing things I never heard before but when I went back to the ZS Pro and the KZ Terminator I realized those details where always there but just not that well defined. The microdetail resolving ability is on another level with these PR1 Pros. In tracks where the bass is well mastered it's well defined satisfying but tracks with poor mastering the PR1 Pro easily exposes the flaws in the low end.

9:16 Wow I didnt know that you have also kinera nanna which one is it OG or 2.0? I love my nanna 2.0 imperial and will never let it go. I have many iems and headphones but nanna is my favorite. I just bought the KZ pr2 x HBB for early price of 37 eur.

I prefer the KZ PR1 Pro over Moondrop Aria 2 because of the mic. Otherwise both are really really good for the price.

Good review, I’ll just correct that you have a HI-FI version in your hands - because there were three versions of PR1 (I had them all, now only PRO is left). Least of all I liked the BALANCE version - there is too much bass, as if a separate subwoofer plays and interferes very much on many styles (for example, psychedelic).
The PRO version has less bass, but it has more of it and is of lower quality than the HI-FI version.
The HI-FI version has the most aggressive high frequencies and, against their background, heavily squandered mids. Everything was obeyed only with silicone tips - since foam ones kill the sound of planars, making it cottony. All three versions have rather accentuated highs, which are very disturbing on bright pop-music or some Yello tracks.
In general, I advise this PR1 series to serious music, where you can hear the multi-layered, variety of instruments (classical music is just perfect). Under primitive styles it is better to take something from the dynamic. I tried Panda planars - the middle is much more aggressive, the treble is almost excellent, but there were some problems on the mid-bass, when the bass guitar came in - a buzz began, which clogged the entire lower middle.
Now the PR2 model has come out - but I think it will be smooth planars with damped high frequencies, which will more resemble dynamic (like Panda).
The stock cable is rather simple everywhere, and in the PRO version it is also thin, gets confused and slightly smoothes the microdynamics throughout the frequency response. I will try some copper or graphene for them.
My PR1 PRO was forced out of circulation by more and more expensive headphones, therefore, after these short circuits, it is simply not interesting to listen to them (I don’t remember where this Mangird Tea2 and DT770 are lying around).

Between PR1 PRO and PR2 which is better for Rock/Metal ? Thanks

I didn’t have PR2, but I heard - a lot of marriage. I returned all three versions of PR1 for the same reason - too much HF and after a week it is seriously annoying.

@@sleazymiguel6882 i "lol" because he ask an opinion for a 200$+ iem vs 80$ iem. Doesn't mean my point is invalid. Heck, i'd argue that the PR1 Pro (i'm using rn too btw) is closer to garbage considering its thin timbre and the amount of treble. Oxygen sounds more natural in return (although the PR1 Pro fits me better)
