After the now famous Crocodile dentist blooper, this episode went to hell very quickly. If the blooper had not occurred, this episode would have been forgotten. But the blooper was the ONLY good thing about this episode.
Watching this brought back memories! Although when this was originally aired I was in my 4th hour English Class in high school and wasn't able to watch and class that day was really good too. I still keep in touch with the teacher I had that hour.
haha!! You said "that cell phone" about a prize, & back then, it was "a cellular phone"... (my parents are hogging my nintendo switch all day, so i'm watching these old game shows lol
So do I. I wish that maybe they would bring the "mannequin showcases" back, if only because they very well could have been an inspiration (or perhaps THE inspiration) for #Mannequin Challenge.
So do I! I am surprised that this wasn't pointed out in the description of the video, unless the poster wanted us all to be pleasantly surprised, especially since it's the 2nd showcase.
here's what aired in prime time on this date: ABC: Full House (Support Your Local Parents), Phenom (A Lou-Daughter Picnic), Roseanne (The Driver's Seat), Coach (The Playbook), NYPD Blue (Ice Follies) CBS: Rescue 911, CBS Tuesday Movie (1993 TV movie Murder of Innocence) Fox: Married...with Children (repeat), Bakersfield P.D. (A Bullet for Stiles), America's Most Wanted NBC: NBC Tuesday Night Movie (1991 film Doc Hollywood), Dateline NBC In late night: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (Jackson Browne, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jane Seymour), Late Show with David Letterman (Robin Williams, Larry Johnson, Mandy Patinkin), Late Night with Conan O'Brien (Andrew Shue, Billy West)
Apparently that was/is a thing for some people way back when. Apple pies used to be super bland due to spices and sugar being somewhat of luxuries in colonial/frontier times, so they had to liven it up with something. More of a savory experience, I guess. Like the opposite of putting fruit in chicken salad lol. This commercial actually disgusted me enough for me to look into it
wow, great character actor & comedian frankie faison (do the right thing, silence of the lambs, coming to america, hannibal) in a dishsoap commercial at 36:40...weird.
This episode aired on the day when I was born
I am glad the commercials are included!
I was 17 days old when this aired. I was born 11-13-93
This is a good show.
The longest-running game show on CBS.
WAS. Bob Barker is irreplaceable.
After the now famous Crocodile dentist blooper, this episode went to hell very quickly. If the blooper had not occurred, this episode would have been forgotten. But the blooper was the ONLY good thing about this episode.
AGGGH! AGGGH! AGGGH!! AAAGGGHHHH!
At 18:00...
Miss them commercials they used too have life in them n not daul n boring as they r now days 😢😢😢😢
This is a great show.
This will always be the greatest game show of all time on TV. Bob Barker will forever be the king of game shows. He knew how to have fun on the show
Bob barker reminding you to join us again to get a winner and get a pet. Good bye everybody!
Probably the first time I've ever seen that happen on Hit Me...
That background music on showcase #1 sounds like the theme from the 1950's Price is right!
15:25 - Janice was so funny!
Haha, I know right, hahahahahahahahahahahaha.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was also on ABCNEWS for Business Brief
13:39 - Stalling level: Bob
I think Rod meant to say "seat beds" not "seat belts" as an option on that Aerostar 41:10.
Bob was certainly in good humor that day. Drew is great, but Bob is the greatest host.
Drew is not allowed to be himself Bob had the power to push the network but since he let they took over thats why they made it look more modern
The decor needed updating. It looked like something from the 70s. Drew sucks, BTW, lol.
I loved the stage music they used back then. Today it is too upbeat, teeny-bopper like.
wow cell phones from the 1990's looked weird i thought it was a cordless house phone
LOL that's Bill O'Reilly!
Watching this brought back memories! Although when this was originally aired I was in my 4th hour English Class in high school and wasn't able to watch and class that day was really good too. I still keep in touch with the teacher I had that hour.
Ah. 93. The Year I was born.
18:18 Woah! Poor Bob!
Too bad you don't see crocodile games like that anymore
I was at a bar when I first seen this episode
Mannequin showcase! Mannequin showcase! Mannequin showcase! Yay!
This was a few months after Dian's departure. Cindy Margolis was the fourth model joining Janice, Holly, and Kathleen.
millenniumman75 was she the mannequin in the spa of the second showcase
Are these the first cell phones? They were the first ones prior to Smartphones and iPhones!
The episode was good.
The cell phones actual retail price was $1300.00 in 1993
Fun Fact:
$1300.00 in 1993 would be worth $2382.98 in 2021.
Bringing back great memories, commercials and all.
Very nice Holly in gold dress lying on a sports car!
lmao the crocodile game is the greatest thing ever
Weird seeing Bill O'Reilly on a network other than Fox News...LOL
That's a classic episode with a Crocodile dentist demo.
It sure is and it was pretty funny.
That cell phone
haha *CELLULAR phone
Gravydog316 you're a year late I don't even remember what I was talking about
haha!! You said "that cell phone" about a prize, & back then, it was "a cellular phone"... (my parents are hogging my nintendo switch all day, so i'm watching these old game shows lol
Right? lol
Yep, those were the days when cell phones were luxury.
I remember when he hosted "Inside Edition" before Deborah Norville, so it's not weird to me!
Michael Bass pre "do it live" and heat status
Very young Bill O'Reilly.
"SEE BARKER'S BEAUTIES"
Nov 93....Damn...I was 26. Life was so much fun. Still is but that was a time indeed.
Love. You
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
18:18 AGGGH! AGGGH! AGGGH!! AAAGGGHHHH!!!
I love when Barker's Beauties act as mannequins.
So do I. I wish that maybe they would bring the "mannequin showcases" back, if only because they very well could have been an inspiration (or perhaps THE inspiration) for #Mannequin Challenge.
Sorry -- #MannequinChallenge.
So do I! I am surprised that this wasn't pointed out in the description of the video, unless the poster wanted us all to be pleasantly surprised, especially since it's the 2nd showcase.
That was the 1990s version of the old school "Trip Down Main Street" Showcase.
That's from 13WMAZ in Macon.
Aw, I was a two-day-old little baby when this came out lol
I was 17 days old when this episode aired
18:18 Ha ha ha ha 😆

I wonder if Bob was ready to spay or neuter that crocodile?
Daniel Westfall After what happened, I'm quite sure we will. 😆😆😆
Haha yeah literally, hahahahahaha.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I saw one in high heels in this game
I thought Bob was gonna cuss in that one
which part?
Summer Perkins Was it from the crocodile?
Those "elegant" wall hanging fish are pretty hideous lol
i wonder in the part for the spinning wheel if one player beats another where does the previous player go?
Home.
Without a showcase.
@26:04, APPLE PIE topped with cheese? wow.
This commercial actually disgusted me enough for me to look into it
In the bargain game, I saw that the bargain price of the scuba gear was $2017. Does that number sound familiar?
wow, great character actor & comedian frankie faison (do the right thing, silence of the lambs, coming to america, hannibal) in a dishsoap commercial at 36:40...weird.
Is that fourth model Cindy Margolis?
where did vickie go?
Bill O'Rielly?! lol 0:01
Yes, I definitely remember this. I was a teenager back then. That was the pre-Faux News era.
I would have liked to win those cell phones! Nice for 1993.
I like the ad at around 20:00 into it about made in USA labels. President Trump is fixing that problem today (2017) LOL.
SHE JUST KNOW HOW, SHE JUST CHEATED!!!!!!!!!
