I bought this sound track when I was a kid. This will always be my favorite song on the cd. I remember a rare preview of Lost In Space where they play this song and mix it with apollo song. Best preview for this movie and it will be forever lost. Cannot find it on youtube. I saw it on TV before the movie came out.
Love this movie, both the show and this , Penny is my favorite. I like the Jupiter 2 in the show. Love the score for this movie and the tv theme. Love all the retro outfits for both. The robot sounds like from the show too.

It wasn't the best movie but I enjoyed it and still enjoy it. It's simply a fun movie to watch when you want a bit of nostalgia. This was the best song on the CD and I remember buying this.
It's not the FFIX Prelude. I'm assuming you downloaded the FFIX Soundtrack from somewhere like I did. Some of the last few songs are actually switched out for other ones, so I believe it was bootlegged. The Melodies of Life in that release is supposed to be 7:36 and end with the FF theme, but it is the wrong file. I'm assuming someone replaced the actual Prelude which is supposed to be 2:45 with this song, which sounds remarkably like The Prelude...I dunno if they ripped it off or not
So funny because it was labeled that on Kazaa or whatever I downloaded it on back in the day. I only found out about a decade ago it was this song instead.

Perfect theme: Hypnotic sounds to go with the hypnotic sights of stars that don't seem to move when you are Lost in Space.
A shorter, alternate take of this is on Apollo 440's "Gettin' High On Your Own Supply", with the title "Are We A Rock Band Or What?"
