- Billy is one my biggest influences that is still playing and living on this planet. He channels truth, beauty, and goodness in every note he plays and each word he sings. I remember seeing him play at the 5 Spot in Nashville in 2017 to less than 30 people, and even then, I was on the train. It was the honor of a lifetime to have him sit in with Cosmic Country during our set in Essex Junction on Sunday 7/23/2023.

If you want to talk objective facts. Guthrie Govan wipes the floor with all of them. That’s the true best guitarist in music. Greatest guitarist ever, in fact. Objectively speaking, of course. It’s not even a matter of argument. He’s the most elite play ever. Any style, any time, any way; he’d school the best of any genre just improvising on whatever they threw at him. Dude is an alien.

Yep. Along w Rick Mitarotonda. It’s a gotdam golden age of guitarists right now. I lowkey think it’ll be remembered along w the late 60s-70s on that level. Good to be alive!

This is the audio mix we wish we had in the theater. Thx for posting this. Fire the live audio guy who walks into the fans up close and pulls out his iPad and doesn’t correct the balance issues coz we only heard Billy’s monitor on the left and could barely hear anyone else on the mix. Cant wait to see and hear y’all live again!
I totally agree. We saw him in Buffalo and your couldn’t hear Daniel and barely hear his axe. I shot a lot of unusable videos. Heard the keys, drums and bass fine. Continue on my cosmic brother!
