    I used to work for the "old" Waldorf Electronics. Waldorf was an emotional company to be with so I'm still following everything about Waldorf. Thanks for this review and the just cool video!

    Well done for holding it down whilst playing those spaced out pads. I would have totally zoned out there.
    It would have been “Four hours later” and I’m still on the same chord dribbling down myself. 🤤🤪
    Well done, sir. 👏

    This is actually quite a beautiful little synth. I simply LOVE the sound of string synths, and while some may argue that this doesn't sound as good as the old gear, the old gear tends to break as soon as you look at it, not to mention the prices that are being asked.

    • @user-nb7hs8sx5u
      @user-nb7hs8sx5u Před rokem +4

      I wouldn't say that the stvc sound is worse than the old strings! It's just a different timbre and it's beautiful in its own way!)

    • @SeverityOne
      @SeverityOne Před rokem +3

      @@user-nb7hs8sx5u Indeed. People get too hung up on what's "real". When Vince Clark says that he prefers CV and gate over MIDI because he can hear the timing difference, I believe him because he's Vince Clark. But when somebody you've never heard of claims that you cannot make real acid/trance/whatever without a TB-303, I tend to take that with a grain of salt. Like anybody is going to notice when you're in a club.
      And yes, like you say, the STVC is just a beautiful instrument.

    Hey man I just want to take the time and tell you how much I appreciate your videos. You have to be my all time favorite CZcamsr. I came across one of your videos on mixing techniques and I was hooked and I can say I've watched all of your videos and not once was I ever disappointed. I'm new in electronic music not do I own a keyboard. I use my phone but it's honestly ok because of the knowledge and inspiration you give me. I use caustic and fl studio mobile which I thought was very limited. I have recently learned with your techniques and inspiration it's opened up so many doors for me using my phone to make music. I want to thank you so much but all I have is my words of appreciation and wish I could do more. Thank you so much for your awesome upbeat attitude and I'm proud to say I'm a huge fan and can't wait for any new content you release. Again I wanna give you a Texas size thank you. Yes I'm from Texas. Anyway thanks again!!!

    Well done Waldorf......and thank you Dr Mix for sharing this. 👍

    As a German, I naturally feel compelled to say "Waldorf" should be pronounced as "Vaal-dorf". Even so, a great review of a fantastic keyboard. I will buy one soon! I am a huge fan of Waldorf, and I love the quality of construction and obviously the sounds! Love from a Hannoverian composer, living in the beautiful Norfolk Broads in the east of England (for now, anyway).

    I bought me one recently, mainly for the vocoder. I can't compare it with the Behringer, but I don't regret my choice. A bit more versatile than the Behringer I think. Awesome sound. At first I thought it had only a few possible vocoder sounds. But with the modulation matrix and de line input, it can create so many different sounds. I play it with my Korg Prologue through the line input now, and using an external mic instead of the gooseneck. Limitless fun :D

    If you don't have one, you want one. If you have one, after a while you don't play it as often as you expected, right? Wrong!
    This device has enough reasons to pick it up again and again.
    I love Waldorf since Tangerine Dream started using the PPG Wave.
    This is a different ballgame, learning to use a vocoder effectively will take some practice time though.
    For sure e this is not a one trick pony, great for creating ambient tracks or even monophonic solos! Wow!
    I love the fx section, so much different and unique sounds!
    It seems a very easy and intuitive machine to operate.
