I just discovered Bugoy from his viral video with Music Travel Love. I’m OBSESSED. His rendition of Cher’s song, Believe, has such a warm tenderness and smoothness to it. He led me to Katrina and I’m obsessed with her now too lol.

I definitely agree with your comment about how each singer brought a distinct flavor but still blended well with each other. The other thing I noticed was how they kept most of the original riffs/runs while still making the song sound fresh. One of my favorite covers ever.

I remember that it was Katrina's husband who arranges it and all was taken to a studio in the USA.
I don't know why but every time I watch Danielle reacting, I can always feel her sweetness overloaded. also I have impression that she is a kind, cheerful and warmhearted person. with her music knowledge and passion for music, IMO she is one of the best music/songs reactors on CZcams.

There are tons of videos made by each one of them and i can say when it comes to arranging, creativity and making the song their own, no one is probably better.
Bugoy Drillon’s singing style is more of a RnB, reggae type. Please watch Bugoy singing “One Day” on Wishbus and you can see him really showcasing his unique his voice and vocal tone

I know you are a vocal coach, and they are undeniably amazing in all there own rights.. I do love them all! But the reason daryls mouth wasn’t open as wide on the runs is because this was a pre recording, it was not the live version that is playing so they could double up the backing vocals they also pre recorded as Katrina had 2 layers… this was essentially the music video 👍🏼

From lows to highs, agility/melismas, belting up to 6th octave, can copy more than 29 voices, breath control (up to 40 plus seconds)whistle with agility. She mastered the agility on all of her registers pa plus her headtone is to die for. Take not her dynamics are so freaking good as well.

The guy who sang first is Michael "khel" Pangilinan. The second guy is Bugoy Drilon. Katrina is one of Morisette's rivals in singing competition back then, here in the Philippines, Kath always beat Mori, but they are friends :) Both of them are extremely talented.

I agree with you when you said I've never heard sang like this. I've been listening to her for years. She's brilliant when she sings like this, but because she can hit the high notes, she oversings and it turns me off, because it becomes more technique than singing from the heart. If she can tone it down a bit and focus on the song (not hitting the high notes), she could have easily been one of the best. For example, there's the song, Reflection where I think she controls herself and it's great and then she sings those crazy high notes in another song and it turns me off again. She has to harness that power in a more manageable way.
I have always loved the original bit these 4 are for sure a close second.
