He turned out to be a wonderful father. He left us to soon. Many say God needed another headliner with Norm
The scene where Gilbert is taking a pic with fans and his daughter Lily is realizing her dad is loved by not only his family but by strangers. Fantastic documentary.
i like that to. in her interview she said when she was younger she thought her dad was "friends with everyone" and was like how do you have so many friend. such a great family
his daughter just made a mini-doc showing the hidden talents of gilbert
dara and fatherhood were so good for him
she did a few interviews to they are pretty good. i can see her easily being a actress. good thing she has dara to guide her if thats what she does to have guidance away form sleazeballs.
What a beautiful montage - Gilbert was such a unique person. RIP Gilbert..
I know Gilbert has stated how much he hated being filmed and the idea of the documentary in general, but knowing that he is gone, how great that we have this document of him to live on forever.
I like seeing Dara care for Gilbert. It's just what he needed and deserved.
I teared up when he talked about wishing his parents could see how things turned out for him.
Me too...that gave me a glimpse in to how he really felt at times.
Beautiful work. Rip Gilbert. Your family is a testament to the real man you were.
He was so soo introverted in his personal life. Who knew ??
R.I.P. Gilbert Gottfried.
I could not love Gilbert and his family more. Beautiful
Gilbert Gottfried to me is one of the greatest comedians ever... he made me cry with laughter so many times. God bless his young family. Must heartbreaking to live without him. 💌
I loved the full doc. Seeing all these scenes together makes it all that much more moving. 👍
What a beautiful soul.
What a nice lady hope she’s doing okay
Thank you for posting this video, I've listened to about 400 of his podcast, he was a good man.
Thanks you for the intro. It just makes me want to watch the whole documentary.
its def really good, i think its streaming on peacock. im pretty sure they had physical copies on a websiite or a download on a website i cant remember its been a while. and theres also a commentary version that comes with it. gla dyou liked the intro, most people dont like intros but i felt it was kinda important
I love his attitude to the picture, "I was there,I don't need to see them". I feel the same way
well crafted compilation and i really liked your intro, thanks dude
thanks man i appreciate it
Gilbert was great loved his dark comedy. He knew he'd get in trouble, and still stepped over the line every time..RIP
And at the end.... LOVE is all that you have left.....
It's sad that he passed but It's fantastic that he found happiness before the end.
Lovely little film about a gentleman who found himself
Thank You for making me laugh when I thought it wasn'tpossible. GOAT
Gilbert with the kids is the sweetest thing ever
Thank God for Dara
I can’t wait to watch the whole thing. Tears in my eyes.❤
if you dont buy it, its streaming on peacock. im not sure if any other other place has it.
It's an absolutely amazing documentary. I was sobbing throughout, in the best possible way.
I watched it on YT, maybe 6 months ago.
Bittersweet might be the best suited word for it.
I miss Gilbert
I love you, that's your problem.. That was sweet.
It saddens me he’s no longer with us. His appearances on Stern were some of the funniest things I’ve ever heard, there was no line he wouldn’t cross lol!
I could cry watching that. Such tender moments with his wife and children. Lovely.
I always imagined Gilbert as a bachelor, living in a small, dark apartment, writing jokes on a notepad. To see him in a bright home with a loving wife and two kids is very heartwarming. I hope his widow and his kids remember him well.
his daughter just did a mini documentary about him and his art that he use to draw. i think most of it was pre marriage that he had saved tucked away. shes doing really good. she was running his social media pages even as a young kid.
I think that's kind of how it was before he met Dara. When he was on tour I'm sure that's what it was in his hotel rooms.
Joe Piscopo was interviewed once......ONCE.
"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around, he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" ...
the angel Clarence Odbody.
Too many tears. Love the man. Miss him
The shot of Gilbert waiting for the elevator… such a man’s man. I could relate so hard in that moment😅😂
Gilbert was hilarious when with anthony cumia, and norm macdonald. Ad well as artie lang
Respect Sir.
There is a weird kindness in his smile. I dig it.
"That's your problem."
I wish his family had a little more time with him.
I miss him even though I never met him. Left too soon. I wish he was here with his wife and kids
I didn't want to sit and cry, that's why I never bought the home video!!😢
Gilbert would’ve made an amazing grandfather❤❤
🪦 RIP my friend who passed away 🙏for his family and friends who lost their loved one.
His wife was beautiful
@@dbc120 well it's not his wife anymore
@@peterlindner8819 his widow
At least he got there cuz I doubt he thought he ever would
Happy Sad😂❤😢
Was that rabbai gottfried at the wedding!? Lmao well hello theaa mistha gofree
yah hes jewish, theres a good scene later on in the movie
Gilbert resents his wife and kids 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😅
his daughter told a story recently how one day he was home watching her and forgot he had kids and just left the house. when dara called to check on him he said oh shit ill be back home as soon as i can. lmao.
@@hippa2dahoppa2 I heard Gilbert himself actually tell that story on Stern before 🤣🤣
