In response to comments about the new marshmallow waffle video that has since been uploaded...
At no point in this video did I say the marshmallow recipe was "fake". I said it was technically possible, as it is just melting a marshmallow and letting it set again. I also said it would be tricky on a waffle maker. I then showed making it and found it was not a good choice of appliance and not fast either. Most people who try what was shown in the original video will end up with a mess on their waffle maker that is very hard to clean.
The new yummy waffle video shows exactly what I already said and showed in my video:
    1. As I said in my video, it is technically possible.
    2. You need to add oil (which is what Dave tasted and said it was not good with marshmallow)
    3. You need a waffle maker without a pattern or it will stick and need hours of cleaning
    4. You don't put the lid down for the whole time or it will stick
    5. You need to let the marshmallow cool before removing it from the waffle maker - which takes about 15 minutes of waiting (this is not shown in their original video but is shown in the updated version).
In this video, I show a much faster, cleaner and easier method that tastes good.
Please ensure that you actually watch this video first before leaving a comment that doesn't make sense.

At this point, CZcams is just absolutely disgusting. As you've already pointed out in a previous debunking video, "money is the driver". CZcams will go out of their way to let these content farms remain on the platform, just because it's a good business model for them. The more people stay in an endless cycle of randomly repeated food videos and the more they engage, the more CZcams as a whole gets traffic and "time spent in-app". I can see why a channel that doesn’t want to put in the effort of animating something, but does want to crank out viral videos, would take the audio from a story that’s already proven to garner CZcams success and add visuals from another CZcams trend. I’ve seen animations, slime, other “oddly satisfying” type stuff, food hacks/recipes, and more set to these audios.

What I find particularly disturbing about the "children stories" is that there is a very large portion of the children population that is abused at home (the numbers are between 1 in 3 to 1 in 5 children in the world experience some form of abuse, usually from relatives) that is EXTRA vulnerable. Particularly when it comes to tales of finding a savior in a stranger (a myth quite prevalent among us because obviously non-strangers are either abusers or some version of enablers), and knowing how little kid/teen fiction addresses this audience specifically (out of fear of shocking the non-abused children, oftentimes). So that makes those stories disgusting in my eyes because it feels predatory.

Oh, the stories have nothing to do with cooking--they just use the visual to slide the inappropriate stuff right in under your radar. While your eyes see soothing, enjoyable videos of cookies and cakes and sugary treats (probably causing some dopamine bursts), you hear stories that would be frightening on their own and would raise questions, but the good feelings of the competently handled batter and dough and thoughts of sugar override skepticism, for the young and inexperienced, the gullible, the innocent who will take it all in without question and remember the good feeling. My theory anyway.

I've seen loads of cake decorating videos in particular that use the first part of a reddit/forum story read out to audio to grab your attention (usually a really crazy sounding story so you get invested) and then have a separate video with the 2nd 3rd 4th etc. parts of the story. It's all about the annoying trend of FOMO and upped engagement (I do get why it happens because the algorithm rewards it) but if the youtube channels are doing it to they're probably just banking on the same formula.

Say you're wanting to find videos on home remedies for your skin. And you see a video with a bunch of likes. So you watch it and make what they show. Then it burns your skin off. It's very survival of the fittest/late stage capitalism. But with kids that argument falls apart. they're one of the only groups where as a society nearly all of us are in agreement that their vulnerability is something we have a moral obligation to protect from those who would exploit them rather than joining in.
Once you look at CZcams kids content, it very quickly becomes obvious that there is something truly evil happening in plain sight.

5:43 "It was a fantastic experience. But the thought of being late in my first class was distracting me." SARCASM INCOMING (marked for my ND lovelies)
Yeah man. I remember my first mugging. It was heart pounding thrilling, dare I say... sexy? It was late. I was tired. Cold. Hungry. As I was driving, home after a long night of teaching blind mice to read braille, I knew I needed a drink to wet my ol' dry whistle. So I popped in ye old Zesty Mart for a 40 oz of the sleaziest booze on the shelf. As I was paying, a man walked in. I finished paying and as I turned to leave, he pulls out the gun and says, "Give me all your money." I was halfway out the door when I heard this exchange. I ran full force at him like a hippo chasing a pharaoh, and tackled him to the ground while yodeling. My heart was RACING. PUMPING EVEN. He moaned and tried to get up, but I kicked him in the throat and shouted, "I have 60lbs of shrimp in the trunk of my 96' grand am. Come at me bro!" I was pumped. He tried to grab at his gun, but I threw pocket sand in his eyes and got to it first. I pistol whipped him until the cops got there. Which was around the same time the gun broke from all the smacking and I had to turn to a pack of twizzlers and a can of Alpo to finish the job. I was SO aroused. It was the most amazing experience of my life. Way better than DisneyWorld. School is boring anyway. It was fantastic and I can't wait for the next. I just hope I don't have class or a job to report to so when the cops come to put me in the back of their car, there won't be another call placed to my husband on why I cannot be Batman.

      - actually the bleach degrades during cooking, so it should not cause any irritation
      - the bleach can chlorinate the organic molecules, which could make them really poisonous and carcinogenic (cooking promotes these reactions)
      - the soap used there is highly resistant to heat and stomach acid, which is very bad because detergent can do real damage to your insides, it can burst cells open.

@@ryanpascual9598 well considering that most online and in person predators of minors regularly do more or less the same thing, just directly one on one, it is a pretty sound assumption. Most pedophiles start by getting their targets to question if the precautions they have been taught to protect against predators is actually valid and to not question those actions when they do happen and in doing so makes those children particularly vulnerable. Videos like the ones being mentioned basically do it for them before the child even encounters a predator, online or in person.

so true, i mean the only reason youtube is letting them stay and push off good content creators is all for the point that the good content creators earn some money but they, oh youtube is set for life with all the money they get from them. youtube is hypocritical saying no repetitious or content farm or click bait allowed, but let's them all stay beecause of all the money their awful content gets them.

    • @AlexaFaie

@@C1r0-C0r0 Its because they're careful in what they count as a content farm. They count a content farm as being a channel that just reposts videos from other channels without being the original creator. But those channels operate as a family of channels with the same company making them all so they are not just reposting someone else's stuff, they're choosing to in effect upload the same video to multiple channels.
