For everyone who doesn't know, like "who the hell is highlight?" "Highlight? another rookie group?" "why they look familiar?"
So!
Highlight is a 5 member group with Dujun, Junhyung, Yoseob, Kikwang, and Dongwoon. They were previously a group called BEAST/B2ST from Cube Entertainment. After their contract as Beast expired, they left Cube and create their own company called Around Us Entertainment. Sadly, Cube has own the trademark for Beast/B2st so they can't use their name/logo (Browse about Shinhwa if you are curious about this trademark thing, but a trademark last for 10 years). After some battle, the group tried everything they can to use this name but well, cube didn't allow them to. So, they came up with a new name, HIGHLIGHT

I still find it silly that people have to lose their jobs just because they participated in a chat.
Honestly if we thought like this in the West then none of use would have a job by now.
He was a great vocalist and his lack of vocals clearly shows in their latest albums.
The chat in question being one where his friend shared sexual content of girls without their knowledge or consent. And he kept quiet instead of reporting it. The guy who shared it literally served prison time. He’s lucky he wasn’t charged as an accessory. Losing his job is least of his problems and he should at least have to face that and reflect on his lack of action.
I've seen this like a billion times but I can't not get the fact that they are literally promoting themselves. Like they work so hard, this video needs more views!

evlyn cin I was confused at first as well, I'm not a fan of Beast but I know the faces of the members so when I saw the picture I was like isn't that Beast? But why does it say Highlight? I forgot that they left Cube and since Beast is a name owned by Cube they had to change it
emmmm I dun think so? the current ones are quite catchy, it just some people dun know they changed the names and underrated when they success after "beautiful night" and the stupid cube not really them to be on so much variety shows and being focused to the Japanese market but not trying to promote worldwide...

It is not easy for a Kpop group to make a transition in their music as they grow older. Don't hate me here but B2ST/Highlight has made the transition very well. They have moved on from Shock and Fiction to this. I don't call myself a Beauty but I have always supported theses guys from their debut. I have followed them until now and probably will grow old along with them. It makes my heart happy that they took the risk to start all over again to achieve their dreams. Thank you for giving us hope that everything is possible with faith, hard work and perseverance. ❤️❤️

This is their problem... the views in their MVs always are bad but they are stronger in the charts.
Some artists are the other way around like Got7 (they drop the video in the same day and they surpasses the 8m views) and they are strong in the charts of other countries not in Korea.

Their voices are just too beautiful.. Having flashbacks to the first time when I became a fan of Beast years ago when they debut.. Almost 7 years? 8 years? I can't remember. Seeing them to grow from a rookie group to CDs-eating group with multi talents, I am really proud to say that I am a B2UTY! They have become a great man now and can even open their own company! Even though their group name aren't B2ST anymore but who cares? I still love them, not only Ioving them as B2ST but also each and every one of them. Yang Yo Seob, Son Dong Woon, Lee Ki Kwang, Yong Jun Hyung and Yoon Doo Joon, I love how passionate they are towards music, how tough they are to strive through all the difficulties when everyone are looking down on them. They are becoming better and better, HIGHLIGHT, I wish you the best!

Throughout the video, I keep wondering why only Doojoon is happy. Junhyung is sentimentally looking at pictures as if they're precious memories. Dongwoon is packing and will be separated from his girl. Yoseob is feeling the growing distance with his girlfriend. Gikwang's love will be married to another man. But Doojoon is happily eating and talking with this girlfriend, and it turns out it's just a dream. This MV is nothing but genius! Members' vocals are also superb. ❤❤❤❤❤

Love this song so much for the deep meaning. For me it is farewell song coz they had to part with 'beast' once were part of their life. Even its sad but still a beautiful memory for them.

can someone tell me why they arent in CUBE anymore?
Their contract with Cube ended and they didn't want to renew it.. It seems that Cube wasn't doing very well at promoting them (that's what I've read). Anyway, they decided to set up a new agency on their own, but they couldn't use the name BEAST because it's owned by CUBE.
As you may have noticed, Jang Hyunseung isn't part of Highlight : it's because he is the only member to have decided to renew his contract with CUBE, so he left the group. I read that it was because he wanted to start a solo career but I don't know much. And there's been talk this days that CUBE wants to start a new BEAST with rookies and Hyunseung (not a really good idea imo)

I have accidentally watched this video days ago, but I closed it right away when I saw the name "Highlight". I thought it was a new group so I'm not that interested to watch it anyhow. But, I just opened soompi this morning, and realized that Beast has changed their name into Highlight :( I regret it since I was a big fan of them years ago. I am an IGOT7 and VIP but let me tell you about this group : I discovered Beast or highlight in weekly idol , they seemed close to each other and very fun ! I then listened to some of their songs like butterfly and ribbons well let me tell you something these are one of the most rare kpop group that are actually producing great songs I mean both on lyrics -MVs - rythme- and performance, lets forget a little bit about bigbang, got7 , kard, bts and others who their music is more for entertainment and promotion and let s admire these 5 very talented people who every song is a diamond !
Bigbang and got7 are the kind of group that I would vote for them in music shows , dream about them dance to their music but Highlight is the kind of band that I would listen to when I am alone, reading or drawing or getting inspiration for writing a new story on wattpad , even if I don't understand Korean I still feel their vibes... it's like other groups are more like rihanna katty perry beyonce and highlight is like Adele , whitney houston , aurora...

It's already 2021 and soon will be 2022 and I am back here. Though I miss them being 6 but the fact that Highlight struggled so much to promote their selves made me cry again. From Beast to Highlight, from B2uty to Light, from 6 to 5 and now with only 4 members yet they are still making music. You've done very well and I am very proud of you boys. Man, I love b2st so much that words cannot even describe! Before b2st, I LOVE LOVE DBSK and b2st were the only ones to win my heart and make me fall in love all over again. (Because dbsk disbanded and I was heart broken for a long time) I remember watching b2sts documentaries and laughing and crying along with them. I remember how ppl used to call them "recycled group" but look how far they've come. I love b2st so much. Their music lift me up when I was down. I love each and every member with all my heart. Especially Junhyung
For new stans, in case you are confused, I'd like to explain a few things. Highlight used to be called Beast consisting of 6 beautiful men under Cube Entertainment. However, one member left in 2016 then they continued as 5 member and released an album called Highlight. After that, they left Cube to go and make their new agency called Around US Entertainment. At first, they negotiated with Cube so that they can keep the name Beast (because Cube already trademarked that name), unfortunately Cube didn't give the name Beast to them. Because they want to comeback and didn't want fans to wait a long time for them, they decided to change their name from Beast to Highlight on February 24, 2017 so that they can comeback and promote together as a group.
That is the beautiful story of how they started anew with a new name and a new agency. It's never easy to leave their old company and start fresh by making their own company and do everything on their own. But I believe they can and will be able to do the things they want as long as they do it together as 5 and always be the humble yet hardworking people that I've known all these years and fans who will support and stay by their side. They have gone through a lot of things and they have taken a lot of risks starting from last year until this year. I hope that whoever you are, you will support them and give them lots of love. I believe they deserve all the love and support that you can give to them. xoxo

I like to listen to songs before viewing the mv. I was amazed of how good the song it despite being a rookie group since I never heard about highlight before....until i saw the people in the vid and realized it was beast. I was surprised about the fact that I didnt hear about this before (the whole change and all..), but now knowing that they decide to make their own path and move forward, im extremely proud and happy for them. I hope they grow and become an amazing role model to all future groups about never giving up~ even tho I'm not a beauty, I love their music and I truly respect them. highlight fighting!!

Why are these guys so underrated? Just found out about them. I am a big fan of Big Bang and BTS and I personally think Highlights music is as good as them. Really like Calling you, Sleep tight and now this one!

I really miss them all. All five of them. When junhyung case occured and all of them enlist i started to slow down in kpop. Not listen to any korean songs and just wacthing some of kdrama. When i play their songs i feel so sad that i have to stop a while and did not listen to any of theirs for like months. Maybe because im little disappointed with yong, but i know everyone make mistakes in their life. My heart is always for YoonYongYangLeeSon. They have a special place in my heart. And now l started to listen their songs again and play their old videos and all of that make me smile and happy.
