wow! henry fonda at that age, not knowing what a huge career he'd have, how famous he'd become.... i've never seen him when he was so young. that voice, the same as ever. always recognizable. i've always loved his voice. it looks like he first went by henry king, huh, i didn't know that. he was a great actor. one of the best. just wonder what good character qualities he had.... ty for posting.

Young Henry and Linda, typecast but believable Guy, Jane, John and Dorothy. For the lion's handler I was surprised at the "meat" of his role. Casting of all supporting actors was genius. Thanks for sharing!
After Dorothy leaves for the rival outfit with the elephant, you just knew that the only solution was for Linda to do the bareback act in tights. They could have put Dorothy onto the jumbo in a miniskirt ...

I had never heard or even seen this Movie yet I really Enjoyed it immensely. IT truly has some Great talent in it.
Yup, I saw a lot of his movies too but never this one ., even when he plays young Lincoln.

interesting, one of the better carnival movies, well carnival movies aren't necessarily good, this had a nice byline w Fonda and Darnell romance.
The technicolour is amongst the best in this.
He was a cold distant father and husband in real life. Actors sure are well named hypocrites by the Greeks who excelled in dramas.
What it misses in a plot, is made up by with its charm.
