I have never seen someone put more soul into a guitar solo than this! This is pure talent and complete dedication to the guitar. One can only dream of being so deep into music as him
The conflict between the mind and releasing your soul is evident here. Eric fights it! Not intentionally, He floats in and out almost purposefully. Us humans could only dream of being in the “pocket” and letting our soul speak. I see a man traveling through space and time with such passion.. Beautiful isn’t the right word. I’m awestruck.
on top of his beautiful performance, I wish I could smile at a man the way his wife ALWAYS smiles at him when he's performing. THAT is always the (or one of) the highlights of an Eric Gale performance!
The only other thing to add to this performance is the guitar literally going up in smoke bc he SHREDS it!!!❤❤❤ i dont even like blues but THIS MAN's music speaks to my soul in an unspeakable language! And someone commented aboyt how he and his wife exchange smikes n glances...that's an added layer too. So much being said with no words!! ❤❤❤

I don't think Eric is capable of playing a note or phrase he isn't 100% committed to. He pours himself into his playing in a way that separates him from so many other great players.

Yes I was there what a fabulous gig it was.I’ve been buying his cd’s since his first album back in 91 and I was so looking forward to seeing him,and boy it was worth the wait.I met him before the gig,had a chat and got him to sign my cd’s….what a great guy.🎶🎸
