the revo was one of my first expensive RC cars. The suspension was also super cool to look at

I race tuned my E Revo 2.0 with progressive 3 rockers, 500k center diff fluid, tan (stock rear) springs up front and black in the rear with 9mm preload for both sides, front shocks have 42.5 weight oil and rears have 60 weight. It dramatically changed how the truck drives, it doesn't push in the corners like it used to and it's just so much more nimble and feels very stable compared to stock. It basically drives like a truggy now and I love it, keep up the amazing videos MSM! :)

I forgot to mention that it lands much much nicer, doesn’t bottom out the shock so easy.
I swear I put every single upgrade from Traxxas on E Revo 2.0 and it's solid as ever I love it

You should try the E-Revo's little brother, the 1/16 Mini E-Revo! It's an absolute hoot on 3S. I try to grab it with me anywhere I go, because it just doesn't take up any space in the trunk at all :)

I run my 1/16 revo on 4s and get compliments all the time on how fast it is. It’s a very cool design with shocks on the inside and not exposed and battery trays are inside the chassis. Just make sure and SHIM YOUR DIFFS. Good for rain and snow as well.
i love my Erevo! its my first real 6s truck and it handles a bashing if you do the shock mod with the bushings inside the shock body and outside on the piston. takes big big hucks to flat
The bushings as in fuel line bump stops? I was thinking about doing that but haven’t had any issues with the shocks. Also put the traxxas variable dampening kit in my shocks to reduce chassis slap, do you think the fuel line in the shocks help with chassis slap?
@@V8chump no I did not use fuel line. Although I’ve heard that recommended, I used actual bump stocks the same ones that they use for the top of the shock on the lower piston I put underneath.
Inside the actual shock housing if that makes sense that way as the piston is getting pulled out of the body instead of her in the flat plate with little holes in it hits the rubber diaphragm first it limits the shock travel for sure, but that’s what keeps the shark rods from breaking off

Can you confirm Traxxas “upgraded” the 2.0 at some point? I had two, my first 2.0 didnt have reinforced body savers and it was terrible, was always breaking, needed limit straps etc. I recently got another one and the only difference I can see is it has the body protectors from factory, but its seems so much more durable than my other one? Did Traxxas make any other changes?
they did a few running changes... the most obvious to me are the push rods... they used to be the chrome ones now they are like hardened steel. Im not sure of all the changes but there have been some.

I was fortunate to know about this Black Edition E-Revo and picked it up from a Hobby Shop that I had been going to since a kid. They were able to get me another black body directly from Traxxas so I can enjoy it while it’s on the shelf and while it’s out in the wild!
I got my E-Revo in 2019 for 650, and I think I paid $550? for my Slash Ultimate IIRC the same summer. I break that dang E-Revo nearly every time I drive it. I much prefer the 6s FireTeam I got on Sale at the end of last year for $400. I also just ordered a 6s Typhon this weekend as they were still on sale for $400 off after $100 with code NEWYEAR at Horizon (good until 31Jan2023 if anyone is interested.
I told myself next time go on sale I have grab one .. if you run alot they wear , nothing like new with little tuning .
I was just thinking of getting rid of my E revo 2.0 as I only seem use my 8s rigs anymore. Was debating on trading or selling towards an infraction or dbxl as I don't own a speed/drift rig or anything Losi yet. I love the rig I just hate that it sits on my shelf. This video has definitely made me wanna take it out for a run and keep it.

The Erevo 2.0 is the funnest car to drive. The only change needed is bump stops in the shocks and that fixes most of the rod end problems. That’s my rc park car and I own a wide Maxx and kinda was disappointed in it

Love my erevo. I have the max 5 in mine with the stock motor and it is a whole different speed demon even on 6S.
I have wanted a e revo 2.0 every since I have gotten my rustler 4x4 vxl. I think it needs to be my next traxxas basher/jumper in my collection.

That was a battle. Great racing guys 👍🏻 I have to say Ethan's buggy was pushing bad but that's when ya gotta no to back off just a bit to get it to turn - rotate. Playing catch up always makes ya tend to over shoot the turns etc. Ya gotta learn to drive just hard enough to keep the pressure on and wait for a mistake and make the pass. Again great racing guys 👍🏻✌🏻

Ahhhh Indy RC x Traxxas Revo! My favorite track besides Speed RC! Only the true Ogs know about speed RC. Gianni was a beast! That young kid has a revo and would smoke the whole stand.

I have three of the erevo 2.0 and I have a sledge also and I use one of my erevos more often than my sledge and the only problem I ever had with the erevos is on two out of three i had to replace the esc but I’ve had a lot of problems with my sledge but Traxxas warrantied everything so that was nice

I’ve had 2 Erevo 2.0s before, bought both were heavily abused & basically shot when i got them….. Always wanted a blue/black version & after the price cut i finally got my 1st new 2.0! I’ll never let this 1 go either

I think you are totally correct the E-Revo is sadly overlooked nowadays
But it's easy to know why for that price there are competitors who do the same wthing for cheaper also the e-revo durability in you push it hard is questionable that's why when i bought my rc cars it was either the older e revo or the rustler vxl the rustler vxl won....
The revo 2.0 was my dream car growing up and then I got it it kills center drive shafts and links every time I take it out love the look of the car but it kills it’s self every time never can get a full run out of it kind of a let down but very nice rig

Agree on the Maxx's(big and small), awesome trucks, I like the E Revo too. Sludge, nah. I'd buy a kraton and throw the money saved into upgrades. To each their own though✌🍻
@@knowair6767 i went exb personally and upgraded 3-4 things on it and thats about it. Came back to the price of the RTR

Maxx is much slower (less aggresive) than E-Revo 2.0, E revo its completely different animal😃

The e revo is one of the best cause it's an all around car that can handle alot I've beat the crap out of mine mostly unintentionally and it lasted I haven't replaced anything yet my favorite rc

Agree! This is an insanely good deal at $550! My erevo 2.0 is in a different class imo than the maxx. I keep the high speed gearing in mine and it runs like a scalded dog.
I have that black body but just can’t get used to it so my busted blue stays 🤣
it took a lot for me to actually run that black body on the track... hahaha! its so nice
@@Shadows-RC my erevo 2.0 has the original motor and esc. And it’s been through hell. It got flipped into the lake a couple years ago by a kid. I waded out to get it and got it out - after a solid 5 minutes in the water it was still running lol.
I also run the speed gearing with larger heavier tires. Still no problems other than the motor obviously running hotter with the speed gears.
And have 4 TRX4, 3 have stock esc and motors. One of those is 4 years old. Zero electronics issues. Other than the occasional Servo going out.

That E Revo is sexy. I got the black XRT first week when it dropped. Because of your tip. There wasn’t even a black one on any CZcams vids until you got yours and some other dude that almost took himself out speed running. 🔥👍🏼👍🏼💯👊🏻

Yea the revo is kinda tough to work on, removing the motor and center diff are especially annoying but the way it handles is unlike anything else. Surely you’ve noticed how well it sticks to the ground like a spider, other truggy like the sledge or Kraton just don’t articulate as well…. Sledge is probably a better basher but the revo is still tough as hell if you aren’t hitting mega ramps

In my opinion, e revo is just not what it used to be with all the basher truggies out now.
