Fun Fact: The Seahawks are the only team in NFL history to make the NFC and AFC Championship games
Although by a technicality, technically the Colts were an NFC champion before the merger. Superbowl III will never happen as a Superbowl again, unless the Colts change to an NFC Conference for some reason.
@@moblinmajorgeneral that is not true the NFC did not exist as it does today back then it was the NFL and the AFL.
@@moblinmajorgeneral Technically the NFC didn't exist. They won the NFL championship, to go to Super Bowl III. This was before the Merger in 1970. The two leagues (NFL/AFL) never played each during the regular season. The only time they played each was just in the Super Bowl. The Jets where already in the AFL. When the two Leagues merged, the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Baltimore Colts who were originally NFL teams went to the to the AFC.
I dont get it
@@luigiisbetterthanmario6916 The Seahawks were in the NFC in 1976 and then moved to the AFC from 1977-2001 and then they moved back to the NFC in 2002 and they made the AFC Championship in 1983 so therefore they are the only team in NFL history to make the NFC and AFC Championship Games.
NFC: Cowboys vs Niners
AFC: Steelers vs Raiders
Cowboys vs Vikings
LOL ITS EAGLES VS NINERS [eagles won]
So from what I can tell, the Steelers, Broncos, Patriots, and Raiders have the most AFC Championship appearances

The Lakers & Celtics Rivalry of the NFL
Raiders & Patriots are also a known rivalry in the divisional round mainly
Dang dolphins, steelers & raiders dominated in the 70’s
Cool
Facts. All you hear about are the Steelers in the 70s but the Dolphins went to 3 straight Superbowls themselves and the Raiders were right there with them the whole decade.
The Raiders because of John Madden
Cool, best release 👍 I don't think anyone expected the Bengals to win the AFC this year.
By the way, I also have info about NFL Super Bowl. Welcome!
Yes we got it that’s quick and great job

Yes... Yes we are. 😂😂
Would you mind doing this for all sports in the same format?
The AFC east has 30 aprerenses by teams! The NFC East has 33 so there the Best division ever! Go Patriots!
2:13 my beloved Chargers beat Pittsburgh since 94
Didn't know the Patriots made 8 AFC Championships in a row. This list does not include the 4 games played before the merger in 1970. Those AFL teams were the Chiefs, Raiders, Jets, and the Chiefs again.
Chiefs have made 5 in a row

I like to see how Tom Brady was able to be in most of the Patriots AFC champions
Can you do superbowl matchups if the losing conference championship won.
Nobody’s going to talk about the Bills 4-peat from 1990-1994??
Bills' fans find talk about those 4 seasons to be very triggering.
@@theMoerster It's not as bad as you'd think. Certain words trigger us; "Wide right," "Music City Miracle," "13 seconds," "No goal" (whoops, wrong sport); but we're proud of our 4 straight appearences. Did not expect Denver up there multiple times
tied 2nd for most superbowl appearances
Fun fact: The Kansas City Chiefs are the first team in the AFC to host 4 straight AFC Championship games in their home stadium.
Even the Bills that won 4 of them in a row and the pats that went to every one from 2011 to 2018 didn't accomplish that feat.
they also lost most of them

The Jags have made the championship game 3 times. Wow!!!!
They just have to win one next.
Patriots play in the afc champion game 8 straight years in a row
We just gon ignore how Mark Sanchez took the JETS to the AFC Championship game back-2-back in 2009 and 2010
They could have been there in 2008 to if Favre didn't tear his bicep in his throwing arm. I'd argue that was the best jets team on paper.
The last 4 AFC championships have been played kn Missouri
Yet they still suck
Fun Facts: As seen in the video, Miami irrelevant team (Before they became the Lions of the AFC starting in the late 70s.) went to 7 AFCCG's, and has hosted 6 of them. And the only time they didn't host the AFCCG after making it there was the time they were undefeated & untied in 1972-73.
The only 2 franchises currently in the AFC that has yet to make the AFCCG are: Houston Texans (First played in 2002-03), and the Cleveland Browns (First played in 1999-00, and no Pre-96 Browns don't count.).
Why don't the pre-1996 Browns treams count? As far as NFL history is concerned, the Browns began in the AAFC in 1946, joined the NFL in 1950, went on hiatus in 1996 and resumed play in 1999.
@@tygrkhat4087 because technically I think the former Browns is now the Ravens and then someone remade the team there to call them by the same name so on technicality the Ravens are the pre 96 browns and this can't truly be considered the browns anymore
@@RealUSC No, in the NFL Record and Fact Book, when the team year-by-year records are listed, the Ravens start at 1996, the Browns in 1950 and the record skips from 1995 to 1999.
The deal that let the franchise move to Baltimore allowed the Ravens to take physical items; like the front office staff and players. Cleveland retained all records, colors and uniforms; non-physical items. In 1999, the Browns were treated as an expansion franchise for the purpose of rebuilding the team; but in actuality, the Ravens are an expansion franchise.
The Browns didn't play between 1996 and 1998, officially speaking. The Ravens began as an expansion team, officially speaking.
Fun fact: only 3 NFL teams are undefeated in their conference championship games
New York Giants
Cincinnati Bengals
Houston Texans (technically)
I know the Patriots didn't get good until Tom Brady but even in the eighties the Patriots made a couple of championship game appearances
They denied the Miami Dolphins a chance to get back to the Super Bowl. And a game against the Bears, the team who's only loss was against the Dolphins.
@@fromthehaven94 The Raiders did to. Remember the "sea of hands" play?

Seahawks were afc?
From 1977 to 2001 they were in the AFC West division before moving back to the NFC in 2002.
@@stm8198 I never knew that
Never thought that the Seahawks were in the afc
They were in the NFC their first year (1976) in the west division. They merged in the league with the Buccaneers who played in the AFC West. Then they switched the following year to evan off the divisions. The Buccaneers went to the NFC Central while the Seahawks moved to the AFC West.

@@FusionCyborg Oh
1:54 dang, Bills went to the super bowl 4 years in a row? Surely they won one, right??
Sadly, no. The Bills never won an Super Bowl. As a Bengals fan, I want the Bengals to be the next team that hasn’t won a Super Bowl, to win one. Then I’d also be happy with the Bills getting a Super Bowl win as well, along with the Jaguars.
Had Scott Norwood made that field goal kick in Super Bowl XXV, the Bills would've won that.
Houston Texas was oh most to the super bowl and I’m from there
