Very precise, step by step instructions. I when I opened the fob I noticed the battery had been placed plus side down, so Thank you very much. Hopefully it did ruin the fob 🤷🏻♀️

Must the fob be reprogrammed/linked to vehicle after battery change? Older Corolla fobs required loony song and dance with ignition switch and doors to link fob to car. 2021 Corolla manual gives instructions for battery replacement but says nothing about linking to car.
The fob should not need to be reprogrammed after just changing the battery

Please don't touch the new battery with your hands. If you do then please wipe it off very well with a fresh, kleenex or clean cloth.
Acids and oils on your hands can slowly corrode or otherwise reduce the conductivity of the battery and cause the fob to become flaky.
