Have you ever heard of Vecna? The named antagonist in Stranger Things season 4, but also a powerful lich and deity in DND, who is known throughout Greyhawk, Oerth and Faerun, Forgotten Realms. He is the powerful lich, who managed to become a deity, worshipping who was banned and punished by Death. He set Acererak the Eternal on his path of lichdom, battled Iuz the Evil, the son of Iggwilv and managed to leave a long lasting legacy in its unholy artefacts - the Hand and the Eye of Vecna.

Hi guys! Another powerful lich to my collection of liches! Or maybe -the- powerful? I liked that he is the one who made it to godhood, setting the benchmark high for the next generation of evil-doers. Since its an extremely old character of DND universe, there are some assumptions on the dates and the position of city of Fleeth, as there is no exact info on several things. I was also happy to know the tv-BBG will be named after him. Good they show respect to DND villians! 😄

Thanks! Yes, totally! I had a character when I used to play, who always searched for lichdom. I played 16-20lvl one-shot, we battled Ilithilich I think and DM jokingly proposed it in return of boss' live, but didnt expect that I would immediately say yes. He was not prepared for that, since it was in Adventurers League, so I had to withdraw my agreement😅 I was that 🤏 close!

Great video I am pretty new to the game and always enjoyed in the lore of games video and such. Can you do a video about Death Knights and if there are any famous Death Knights. I think they would be a great final boss if used properly.

I don’t know where I read this so it might be non canonical, but I believe Vecna’s mother was murdered due to a princess overdosing on a herb she had prescribed as a contraceptive

So Vecna took out the Lady of Pain in Sigil?
No, not really. Only out of the Armory and some close neighbourhood. She had powers equal to his in her domain, when he was forming to become a diety. Yet she was restrained to use them, as well as to invite other gods to help, as it would collapse the Sigil and multiverse with it. Because Vecna 'hacked' his way to the Sigil from Realm of the Dread bypassing antigod-wards, wards went Error 404. So all Lady could do is to stand at the border of Armory and constantly distract and drain Vecna from safe distance, buying time for adventurers (any non god beings crazy to go inside and well geared enough).

vecna is not the chained god, that refers to Azmodeus
Hm, interesting spot! To be honest, I thought Chained God is a metaphor for Vecna, being locked in Domains of the Dread.
@@TellmeLore it refers to azmodeus being literaly chained up in the last layer of the 9 hells
correction, Thar'z Dunn is the chained god not asmodeus, asmodeus is just a demoic diety who is chained up in the 9th layer of the 9 hells , sry
