I'm EXACTLY the same! I travel annually once or twice and Japan is the only country I enjoy shopping in, bringing back loads of beautifully made, rare, high quality things; vintage fashion, Avant garde design, flea market kitsch, skincare, fragrance, cooking condiments and so forth. Two suitcase baggage allowance is crucial! I'm so with you on this!!
Legit!! Where do you like to shop for clothes? My fav shopping neighborhood in Tokyo is Shimokitazawa.
@@StephEatsnTravels Oh dude, I'm not playin': I have a double espresso and go hard on obscure second hand stores, making sure I have enough energy in my tank because there's so much junk to wade through in regular second hand stores and flea markets don't you find? You need real determination in those places, ha! For my tastes, Shimokita and Koenji are too full of underwhelming1990s clothes, just acres of trousers and jeans, pastel windbreakers and all terribly, disappointingly overpriced. For good new stuff it's always La Foret. A one stop shop!
Next time you're getting ready to go to Tokyo again, PLEASE feel free to return to this thread and I'll actually type out my list of great second hand designer outlets, great design stores and other excellent hidden gems, like terrific, eccentric themed cafes which no vlogger shows on social media (fingers crossed these places stay secret gems and never lose their charm). I'd be only to happy to share my finds with you. Hope you'll be back soon. Have a super week!✌🥰🗾
I live near Disney and my niece and I went to Epcot last week. We loved Japan in the World Showcase and we each bought a beautiful hand fan. The lovely salesperson who checked us out, offered to write our names in Japanese on our fans. My niece is one of my most favorite loved ones and we now have wonderful momentos from a wonderful day.
@@user-ew8vt1ur7j If you haven't yet been to Japan, definitely go soon as you've saved enough to enjoy it without worrying about having the basics covered. The Yen isn't very strong at the moment so you'll get more bang for your buck when it comes to currency conversion, so to speak. Don't worry about having loads of spending money as you'll very soon find yourself overwhelmed by the INCREDIBLE things in all the shops and markets there and will realise window shopping is more than half the fun; you couldn't possibly bring back all the things you find and fall in love with so just enjoy browsing and developing your eye. As you wrote, high quality artisanal goods, quirky rarities and so forth that are packed with sentiment and great memories are all you really need. And things like great skincare, cooking condiments etc are REALLY cheap. The whole trip is going to blow your mind in ways you cannot currently conceive. I promise it will be worth the financial outlay. Have a great weekend!

I love the senka cleansers. My favorite is the acne variant (teal colored) really works at keeping acne at bay and it's just so fluffy to use! (Even without a foamer contraption)
Continue masterbating and take lots of showers with friends ,,... Drink ,,... And poop ,,... Cleanse ,,... Just so(past)playonmyoki)
I've tried so many products to try and get rid of pimples from my face and Senka Perfect Whip is the only product that seems to work for me. I'm so thankful that it exists!
30 retinol mask for technically 3.82 usd dollars 😱
eso es barato!!!
....
Que envidia 😢😂
Necesito eso
That's correct I bought those 30-pack retinol masks in Oct 2023 for 598yen. At the time, I thought it was a limited-time deal. Was happily surprised they were still 598yen when I visited in March 2024!
Biore sunscreen is so good. Feels like nothing on your face ❤
For me, this is veeeeery alcoholic spf, my skin felt bad after it
@@user-re3uf6ls2xsame. and the smell is so strong, i can‘t stand it
Personally, I got a MASSIVE face and neck rash, but it wasn't actually the worst reaction I've gotten from a sunscreen though. If you have sensitive skin avoid it.
Sis, you reminded me of a cheesy 80’s tv commercial which cranked me up!
I ain't mad at it
YESSSSS!! Those imabari towels! Spread the word! Also, regional condiments from fancy healthfood delis, restaurants and small concessions/market stalls. Pickles, speciality miso and other unusual items- yes!
So happy you know about Imabari Towel!!
Do they have like bathtowel sized? I got waist length hair and small towels are like... too small lol water would be dripping everywhere
Yes Imabari Towel carries various sized towels! They also range in softness (the softer, the more expensive).
@@av-sp1wo Yes!! That's what I'm hunting for next time, hahaah! The biggest imabari towel they make. Mine is great but I use it as a face towel, after showers on hot days and as a headwrap for my medium length hair. I want a giant one too. That being said, they're so absorbent that I don't think we need it to be Western bath towel-sized. A smaller in between size will do the job.
@@StephEatsnTravels Get the ultra soft big one and unless you rip it, it will serve you for the next couple of decades of your life even if used daily. You get what you pay for with certain things. Calculated like this, they're not that expensive. I'm downright evangelical about certain things and want everybody to experience an upgrade of SOME kind in their lives. (After this purchase, ladies buy the Love Liner liquid eyeliner and prepare to have your world rocked).💯💯🏆
I also stocked up on Senka products and Biore sunscreen last time I visited Japan. J-beauty is awesome.
I have that Perfect Whip cleanser. A tiny dot is enough it’s very thick!!! It will save you a lot of money and it’s really great.
Honestly, Japanese souvenirs are THE BEST! ❤❤❤
They sure are. You really ought to be in Japan rn
I love Senka foaming Cleanser. pink one is nice but for my oily and textured skin i prefer the plain white one. ❤
It feels so nice on the skin!!
The senka facewash is soooo good!
ahh thank you!! these all look excellent
I got Hatumugi toner as a gift from a friend who visited Japana and it was so so good
TY for the rec!!
I love perfect whip! wishing it wasn't so expensive in my country. those bad boys really do wonders
598 yen is like $3.83 in dollars😊😊😊
Yep!! :)
are we getting seriously ripped off in America or is their currency just cheaper 💀
Gurlllll, corsx is Korean 😂
Awesome collection! 🤩✨
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
i have the curel moisturiser! its litr a saviour for my dry ass skin i recommend to anyone with really dry skin
I bought that giant bag of retinol sheet masks and they're a god send. Genuinly love them so much
You're so welcome!!!!
I’m going to buy sunscreen when I go there soon too 😊
Heck yeah!!!
yea definitely looks a lot like it
I went all out this trip.
My next trip, I may not buy as much.
Imawori taworuuu
Love these❤
I like the Rilakkuma
Omamori & Sakura 🌸 chopsticks 🥢
holder 🙂
Excellent taste 😊 🌸
For anyone wondering, lotion in Japan does not equal moisturizer. It’s more of like a toner with a thicker consistency. It’s considered a staple in Japanese skincare routines. Many of them are loaded with actives since you’re not really supposed to rinse them.
Să le porți sănătoasă și cu drag! Îți vine foarte bine setul, tu oricum ești o dulce 😊
I love chopsticks beautiful 🤩
Thank you! I made a separate video about the chopsticks. I got them from Nishiki Market in Kyoto! The name engraving service was free.
aw you got those airport pikachu plushies!! I missed the vending machine because I went directly to the gate 😢😢
No, I did not get the airport Pikachu plushies! The ones I got were from Pokémon Cafe in Osaka (merch section specifically, I did not dine at the Cafe)
what does puppy eyes mean?
now why did i just see this after im back from japan 😩 i was in 2 don quijotes and didnt know what to get so i just picked random stuff
Next time!! Japan is the land of amazing souvenirs.
All of the lotions in Japan have that texture.
Ok but how do you fly home with the full size bottles? :0
I fly Zipair back home to California and I pay for checked luggage!
What's rikakuma imamuri?!
I spend 12 bucks on a single face mask, damn you walmart, I'm being hosed!
Yeesh!! Gotta get your skincare from Japan or Korea!
Don Quijote Doflamingo 🤯
I dont use sunscreen lol, and my skin was never red! I only use sunscreen in vacations tho. At the sea.
@@aishitemasuu it's recommended to wear sunscreen everyday you go out, even on cloudy days. Especially the fair-skinned people. You do you
@@StephEatsnTravels I don't do that and everything is ok
Is the chopstick thing expensive?
where was the sakura chopstick holder from
Kitchen Yuuzen in Nishiki Market in Kyoto
jokes on u i heard about imabari towels in another reel 😂
I want to get so many of these products, but I don’t know if I am allowed to take it on the airplane? Restrictions have limited ounces and it gets confusing
I had a checked luggage.
If you're only doing carry-on, you will need to be careful with liquids.
Hey, it depends on the airlines but generally, you can put a lot in your checked luggage. But for your carry-on luggage, you get a clear small plastic bag (about size of an A5 piece of paper), everything must fit in it else you're going to have to throw it away. This is for liquids, creams, serums, etc. Hope this helps!
lmao i tot they were eyeliners
What that retinol mask brand pleasee
@@ainiali783 I found someone selling it on Amazon for a criminal amount
amzn.to/3VYspsa
Looks like come
Cosrx is a Korean brand though.
how much is all of this in USD?
Good question. Nothing is this video is that expensive. The most expensive things were from Imabari Towel, think I spent roughly $40 given the good exchange rate.
Um ma'am .. it looks like cu rightmost LOL
Why do tourists mostly do all there shopping in donki now? The drugstore has so much better selection and tax free plus it’s not overcrowded
I went to sundrug too
Cora- what again??? It’s cos-r-x 😭
That looks like WHAT?
Please stop making weird sexual references because there are kids who watch you..
but the biore sunscreen smells very alcoholic 😅
Looks like cu...🤣🤣🤣🤣
