DIY WOODEN LANTERN | WINTER DECOR | SUPER EASY

HI EVERYBODY!
In today's DIY tutorial I'm going to show you how to make a really nice winter decoration. These wooden lanterns are super easy to maken!

- wooden strips
- A hand saw
- A drill
- Rope
- Hot glue gun with wood glue
- sand paper
- paint, varnish or wash
Measures:
BIG LANTERN:
- a square of 20 x 20 x 1,8 cm
- 4 strips of 35 x 2,5 x 2,5 cm
- 8 strips of 14 x 2,8 x 1,7 cm
- 2 strips of 14 x 5 x 1,8 cm
- 2 strips of 10,4 x 5 x 1,8 cm
* farolillo pequeño*
- a square of 14 x 14 x 1,8 cm
- 4 strips of25 x 2,5 x 2,5 cm
- 8 strips of 8 x 2,8 x 1,7 cm

Hi Paul! I used to make a ¨wash¨ adding half water to normal acrylic paint! you can make it in any colour. it's easy and really low cost.

Very nice but I would definitely not recommend using hot glue it isn’t durable or strong enough to hold wood together. Wood glue works fantastically and will absolutely make this project last forever...ok maybe not forever cuz that’s a really long time but you know what I mean I hope. 😀

Hi Danielle! Thank you so much for you comment and sharing your feedback! I wanted to let you know I have used special hot glue for wood. And I can say it is really strong! I have a small girl and she plays a lot with them hihi and they still survive (for now already 2 years) It depends a bit on which projects I use. this glue, but a can recommend it. Today a made a wooden stool (coming soon on the channel) and in this case I used the typical white wood glue! Hope you will stay around and I love to hear you feedback! Hugs and kisses Steffi

I don’t think I would put a candle lantern on a fuzzy blanket as you did at beginning of video otherwise nice video.
