4:30 the Panos Cosmatos episode blew them all away! I wish I could buy it as a standalone film. Peter Weller (going all the way back to when Cosmatos’ dad worked on Leviathan) was perfect. I can’t wait until his next film.

They said, Robert is watching the DS9 saisons and will give his opinion in these monthly podcast, but they won't do all single episodes like TNG. But they will do all TNG movies.

God, Surrogates... there's a movie i never thought i'd have to think about again. if you want to see a pretty good late Bruce Willis movie, 16 Blocks is solid, the last Richard Donner film also.

Lou Ferrigno was so awesome. Cabinet of Currosities was kind of mediocre, but i loved the Panos Cosmatos one, the Viewing. It's just so bonkers. But yeah, it also just ends. Pickman's Model was so weird, and i love Crispin Glover.

I had almost blocked "She" from my memory. I saw it once as a kid and thought it was the worst I'd ever seen. Can't imagine what I'd think of it as an adult. Back then I liked all sorts of bad fantasy and sci-fi uncritically.
I remember liking Sometimes They Come Back, but you need to keep in mind that it's made for TV so the production isn't up to full movie standards.

Joker has some surprisingly good slap stick comedy, which puts the clown into the character while contrasting with the dark moments really well. It does a lot of clever things, but the batman scenes are easily the weakest part.
I'm 95% sure the musical will all be from the point of view of Harley Quinn having a fantastical naively positive outlook on her abusive manipulative relationship with Joker. Moving from mental illness themes to domestic abuse.

I hated Russell Crowe for a long time after Virtuosity. It was the first thing I ever saw him in and I associated him with that garbage movie for years. I even hated Gladiator at first because it had that guy from Virtuosity. Now I think Russell Crowe is awesome. Same thing with Jeff Fahey in The Lawnmower Man. I'm over it now though.

With regard to Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities: The two Lovecraft stories are "Pickman's Model" and "Dreams in the Witch House", not "The Rats in the Walls". Maybe Robert got confused because there was one episode that was based on "Graveyard Rats" by Lovecraft's buddy Henry Kuttner. ;)
For me most of the episodes were ok, nothing special, but... ok. I really liked "The Autopsy" and I also liked "Graveyard Rats".
As a fan of Lovecraft I was little bit disappointed with "Pickman's Model", but it does not nearly f#ck me up as this peace of s#it episode of "Dreams in the Witch House" with that really annoying guy from the Harry Potter movies where they butchered the original story. I get it, that there should always be space for some creative alterations, but this was just nonsense. It really made me angry watching it.
Nevertheless I also will watch the next season. And I hope they won't use more of del Toro's own "short stories" in the next one, because that is just cheating. Ok, it is his show, but... he is not a horror author and it's lame to trick the audience like that. Use real horror author's stories, Gui! Give more new authors and directors a chance!

You are of course correct about the Lovecraft stories. --Robert
