Wow, thank you Douglas for all your hard work!
Thanks for listening
Amazing interview! Thank you very much! It's so important that our dads tell with us about our everyday problems. We need it so much... Thank you guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
LOL, I wish my sons felt this way.
That is quite amazing
As much as I admire Douglas Crockford, I do disagree with his stance of types. I think he is correctly identifying some of the short comings or the overblown sense of security that types bring, but I find that types allow me to express things that previously could only be expressed in documentation or, god forbid, as classes, and that makes the code much easier to think about as a whole, especially with the tooling around them making it easier to remember the parameter and return types of functions. Thinking of a generic JS object that gets passed around is different than thinking about a concrete type of object that's guaranteed to have a specific shape, and I did find that to be a game changer when I finally switched over to TS.
Basically he asks for Erlang ? Which would be really nice.
Yep
37:34 - Random thought: If anyone piously _corrects_ you on how to pronounce JSON, simply refer them to this video. 😅

The interview is hilarious. Douglas says "It might replace JS" and you (oh... ok... I really don't care, but I need to say something cool): "wow... sounds like a plan". WTF dude. From the first minute and I literally feel your frustration from my screen. How I can suppose to watch the rest 54 minutes?
Yeah, it looked like that. Even though I believe it's just that some people when using foreign language cannot or it's just hard to convey a true emotion therefore not reacting much looks robotic and weird although it happens quite often.
