    Such beautiful covers! And such an awesome setup. It’s wonderful how you adjust to fit what works for you. That sticker release paper… I’ve been eyeing a passport sized one and I can’t commit yet because I don’t think I’ll use it either. It seems perfect, but I can’t figure out if it will be a good fit for me. I love that you’ve started using a couple fountain pens again, for purely selfish reasons. 😹 I want everyone to be a fountain pen user. But those vintage pens are so beautiful and the flex nib sounds so cool. I’ve just recently purchased my first 2 vintage pens and I can see a rabbit hole appearing in the distance. 😹 Thank you so much for sharing! 🧡😸🖋

    I’ve done the fabric lining before too. I used it on the first folio I made. It about gave me a nervous breakdown. Ha!🥴(I kid, but it had some hairy moments.) I love it though and plan to incorporate it on future projects as well.

    • @sarahmartinezjournals
      @sarahmartinezjournals  Před 2 lety

      Thank you for the prayers, Elizabeth♥️♥️. I really wish I had a secret for cutting the curve. But a lot of it was me going through my pantry trying to find cans and jars with the right diameter. A strawberry jam jar won, haha. I placed it on the leather, held my breath and cut around it with an xacto knife. It was the worst. There are a few slightly choppy areas. For the backing piece that holds the snap, I glued it to the rounded piece and used the rounded piece as a guide cutting tiny pieces off the backing piece with my rotary cutter. That went ok. But I plan to sand the edge (it needs it bad!) and maybe burnish it.
