    Hey, I just got a 200 ah Renogy Lead Acid Battery & have the same Duracell Solar Generator like yours but how do you run a 400 watts solar power to the battery? I'm confused because the Duracell generator shows that it can only accept a 100 watts solar panel connected to it via Anderson cable & supposedly it won't allow anything over 100 watts. 400 watts is significantly better to speed up the charging process but how did you do it to allow that much solar power? I was going to get a 400 watt solar panel but thought it was pointless after learning that the Duracell generator only accepts 100 watts

    • @Texasprepper
      @Texasprepper  Před 6 měsíci

      Watch the video again. 400 watts is charging the battery...not the power station. It has its own charge controller....not using the one on the duracell that is limited to 100 watts. This charges the power station battery as well if you have them connected.

See my video showing "ecoflow river simulated ups". czcams.com/video/hhqBXOthojE/video.html

      If you dont want to use the built in charge controller that is limited to 100 watts....you can hook your charge controller to the battery terminals in the back where you would add an expansion battery.

    I live in an apartment, how can I use something like this?

      You could use portable solar panels that you set on your balcany maybe? Or you might be better served with something more portable like an ecoflow river max.

      You will need to decide what your power needs are. Any power station that is big enough for all or even most of your needs will be too big to be portable. Living in an apartment...you probably want to be portable. Ecoflow sells many of their units on ebay as refurbished for much less money. The units are like new and come with a 2 year warranty. Ecoflow products charge faster than any other power stations available. I would recommend the river max or river max plus and a couple of folding solar panels. They have a refurbished river max for just over $300 and a refurbished 160 watt solar panel for just over $200....your total investment would be less than $600 and ebay has payment options.

    Would this run a 3300w ac unit 8 hours a day with a backup 3800amp deep cycle agm battery and 400w of solar panels? I live in a desert so the sun is abundant. It gets up to °112. My electric bills I close to $500 a month I can't afford that every month.

      2 520w ac units
      1 870w ac unit
      And a 1400w ac unit all run off of 115v plugs

      I am going to ignore the elephant in the room that you claim to have a battery that is the size of a car with over 45,000 watt hours. These units cannot be used with air conditioning because they dont like modified sine wave. It is too much to ask any small units to run ANY a/c unit......they just use too much power. You can use a pure sine wave inverter and hook to your battery but if you wanna run a/c all day then you need enough solar to match your watt needs that way there is juice left for nightime. You would need a serious investment of cash to run all of these a/c units. You could set up one room with one small a/c to keep running for emergencies with what you have if you purchased a pure sine wave inverter.
