12:10 - climax to such a high octane show. The flamenco/gypsy/nomad/performer theme came together. Combining masculine and feminine in the beginning was brilliant. It's like going to a fashion carnival.
7:38 I've been watching this show again and again and the fact that Dewi manages with perfection the mess that those 2 strips had caused on her feet still amazes me.
At first I didn't really understand the relevance of the first few outfits and what was going on but as the parade continued I noticed the amazing détails, intricate cuts of the jackets ( Jacquetta Wheeler @2:03 ) , the skirts defying gravity ( @2:31 ) and crescendo-ing to some the most fabulous evening gowns ever. What a gorgeous collection. Of course customers had the outfits tapered down to their mode de vie but what exceptional pièces of Haute Couture they must treasure. 14 years ago already but they could still wear them today and amaze onlookers. @@lilMissF0F0 no, the dead model trend started in 2013, i think just in 2017 we saw the great walkers coming back, Teddy and Yasmin being the most notorious.

Um no gatekeeper that’s not how it works. Models are instructed on what to do during the runway shows. If they are “walking robotic sticks” that was how they were told to act. Blame the people behind the scenes not the models.

John Galliano is the greatest couturier in the world! Envy and lies always win over talents, because they are very fragile and vulnerable. Great! Unique! The magnificent John Galliano!
La mise de Stella Tennant: nobody did something like that before! That means there's still space for invention in Vetements, but only in the small circle of Haute Couture, if the houses have really capable designers like Galliano did 18 years ago.

I always thought that of the Brazilian models (and later Trentini, tho that’s other story). She’s the one who success what the least related to the Brazilian era in early 2000s. Considering she peaked in 2008-2009, plus she was always considered to be a sort of Chameleon than an bombshell, let’s being honest that she looked very out of place in Victoria’s Secret compared to here or any McQueen show.
Exquisite pieces. There is an argument to be made about Galliano’s use of indigenous cultures, but I don’t think that any of them are done in a way that is distasteful. He always designs out of reverence for the originators of the ideas.
Ai Tominaga and Oluchi Onweagba were two of the most underrated models from this era.
These models are actresses ! The way the different melodies are mixed is so seamless, this is a cultural trip around the world. Galliano is a genius.
And thanks to Jeremy Healy for the legendary soundtrack 😻🙌
