- This video depicts heavy action on NS' Elkhorn Grade along the well-known Pocahontas District. Multiple eastbounds are captured climbing the grueling grade along with some heritage motors to brighten up several of the scenes. Set back and enjoy!

Thanks for the great video. Back in 78 I lived in Princeton and commuted to Welch everyday on route 52 so I got to see a lot of the Norfolk and Western, not NS.
I wish there were some videos of the electric operations at Elkhorn tunnel.
Great video! Excellent catches on the Heritage units!!
Thank you all very much for the kind words regarding the video; much appreciated!
Great catches and excellent photography!

Awesome video
Nice video Samuel! Alot of nice action, and some color! What video camera are you using?
Great video. I personally enjoyed it. You happen to know the tunnel names at 7:25 and 7:55?
Where did they get that odd ball engine from
I shot all the scenes in this video between March 20 and March 23rd.
Where does NS 82G & 83G come from and where is its destination?
I enjoyed the video it was fantastic
I was just a little fart then but I can remember when the Y6's and the A's used to drag those coal cars over that mountain...
I use an older Canon HD camcorder.
