Rumors like this are the first time I’ve ever been worried that things are getting too complicated for general audiences.
Having this specific steve rogers who’s not yet the old man but also no longer calling himself captain America but also not yet with peggy like we saw at the end of endgame.
This is the danger with multiverse stuff, if people feel like it’s too confusing they automatically tune out.

I hope we see a Hydra Cap
I knew Chris Evan’s Steve Rogers would return in some sort of way. Considering time travel is a heavy element for the Multiversal saga, there’s a chance we may see Steve Rogers return the stones and get sucked into Secret Wars then officially retires and lives with Peggy where he grows old and gives Sam Wilson the Cap shield.
I had no doubt this story would be told. It just ties in perfectly. He created a new time line by what he did so if he came back to pass the shield he had to have help. Plus the fact he would meet red skull again and there has to be a crazy story taking them all back. 8 of them struggled to get them and it won’t be much easier if any taking them back.
Bringing back Chris Evans is not enough to trick me into thinking that the mcu is back on track and that all is forgiven after a disastrous phase 4 and horrible ant Man 3
his character probably won’t even be the main focus in “Noman” anyway. It will most likely be Peggy and Steve is going to regress to a jobber who has the awareness of a potato for laughs and giggles and “new take” on an already established concept. This is the good ol bait & switch.
I always predicted that Tony Stark would show up in secret wars before he died, defeating Thanos. Since he effectively had to test his "Time GPS" before the Avengers used it in Endgame to be sure it actually worked.
He didn't have the Pym particles, when he got them it was Scott/Barton testing them

Tony has many parallels outside of the MCU. He is effectively a variation of a christlike figure. but his apparel paints him as more antichrist than christ. even his choice of music between acdc and black sabbath. I believe the iron man song foreshadows something to come and plays on conspiracy theory concepts popular on CZcams today. that being the idea that A.I. may, in fact, be the way the antichrist rises from a literal void and is pulled into existence similar to Ultron.
Tony as an A.I. holographic representation I believe may play into a secret empire storyline. to some degree I believe Cap will return the stones and have to set up conflicts for his past self to conquer.
which plays into the lyrics of Iron man as well. A man who sees the future travels to the past to warn of an impending doom only to be scoffed at. He then kills the people he once saved. As an A.I. Tony may find this as a course of action that sets the stage for a different causal outcome.
all speculation of course but you can't knock the logical progression of character motivation. After all old man cap remained in the sacred timeline. assuming he didn't have pym particles he must have manipulated events to ensure variations didn't occure.

Since Steve was temporarily Nomad I can see them switching the character over to Jack Monroe and having him stay Nomad just like the comics. Henry Gyrich placed Nomad under nanobot control and forced him to become the Scourge of the Underworld, but the Thunderbolts freed him and perhaps that's how the Thunderbolts could tie into this.

As much as I like the idea of them doing Nomad it does seem like the wrong time to do it. To me it comes off like they’re trying to overcorrect from phase 4 and bring some memberberries with phase 1 heroes. Plus this would be the second sidequel involving black widow between the Civil War- Endgame timeframe and we already know what happens to Cap so it all goes back to filling a gap. Could be good though but it seems like MCU has just been trying to go back ever since the blip.

This is insane, we're going to see Captain America return the infinity stones face off with his arch nemesis Red Skull and go through the quantum realm and fight Kang with thor's hammer mjolnir! I'm hyped! We're also going to get a serious movie just like Winter Soldier and Civil War! And they might continue this with MCU movies and shows! I also love the parallel of Cap and Loki being producers and main stars in their movie/show and also having Black Widow and Sylvie with them too. Perfect duos. All these theories are finally going to come to light and come true same thing with Captain being with Peggy. I'm so glad they're looking for new cinematography for Secret Invasion, means they care about that series being great and big. Is it possible that when we see Old Cap in Endgame that he already experienced the events of Secret Wars? It could explain where he got the new shield. It could explain how he was able to make it back to the main 616 timeline (through timeline/multiverse shenanigans or maybe even some help from the TVA or Loki)

And maybe during the events of Secret Wars Steve will see Sam do something heroic, maybe even sacrificing himself, and that’s what drives him to make the decision to pass the mantle to him. It’d be a time loop sure, but there is a theory that a similar thing will happen with He Who Remains, and that some Kang variants have the ability to actually alter the past in order to change the future, so if those rules are introduced it could still make some sense.

What if in Secret Wars we get the same variant of Steve Rogers from the Infinity Saga but it's from during the time he was returning the stones, since that would have created another universe. Parts of his new universe could have survived the incursions and ended up on Battleworld, leaving him to join the New Avengers in Secret Wars.
And like Poptart916 above me said, this could play a part in Steve giving Sam the shield. It would bring a whole new meaning to when Steve said 'It isn't', when Sam said that it feels like it's someone else's

I believe they set up Cap for a secret empire storyline. with secret wars and secret invasion on the horizon it makes logical sense that they would utilize Chris Evans in this way and tie it to returning the stones.
The fact he remains on the timeline of the 616 post endgame indicates Cap may have had to manipulate causal events through projects like insight.
Since insight led to the overall takeover of shield from hydra I believe this sets up Cap as a shadow dictator within the past who may have even caused WW2 to ensure his own creation as a super soldier.
The idea that Cap is the head of hydra just makes so much sense especially with Peggy being one of the main founders of shield. This gives Cap a hand on both sides of the wheel making it easier to ensure causal events in the world stage do lead to the infinity war and endgame.

Great video. Have to say; I love a lot about these rumors. The ONLY thing I’m concerned about is the - yet again - “multiversal versions” of characters. Not EVERYTHING needs to be dealing with the multiverse. Marble going back to that and previous scores also shows maybe they’re not doing that great. We don’t need that if the story is what the rumors say it is. There were no variants when they took the stones. I LOVE that they’re looking at different aspect of cinematography bc it’s been eh as of late along with effects. Secret Wars looks like it’s being a lot of redemption to the trash lately. Civil War; Winter Soldier were the best pound for pound films based on writing, plot, effects & being grounded. Now it’s just about $$ and “how many non essential things can we cram into a property”. If this is done right it’ll be amazing.

And a clear vision! The infinity saga worked so well in part to the Russo brothers controlling the narrative for a large chunk of it. These few films/series since endgame just lack the real connective tissue as the previous ones

1. Kang stuff is obvious. Deadpool 3, F4 (most likely), and Loki are gonna be dealing with that until Avengers 5.

Imagine if the rules to put the soul stone back were literally the opposite way to obtain it. So put it back, you must then gain back what you lost??. So in Steve's case that would be to go live the life that he losted already. Steve could never be the person to get the stone because of what he lost. But he was the only person who could actually put the soul stone back. So for doing so he was able to live his life.

The new branch timelines I thought the avengers created never branched out bc the TVA pruned that timeline when they went to get Loki… cap returned to a non existent timeline.
