Fun to watch the great skaters such as Patrick, Daisuke, Yuzuru and Jabiel. I'm really looking forward to World's 2013. They are not just jumping people. They are great artists.
I don't remember Chan falling in the short program, but I do remember Kozuka and Hanyu falling in theirs. For some reason, when another top skater has a complete meltdown (Hanyu at SA, Fernandez at NHK, Takahashi at CoC...),people give them a polite pass. But when Chan has a somewhat shaky skate (not even a complete meltdown)people point out every single imperfection and say he's crap. Even if he was, indeed, overscored (which I'm not even sure of), it's not his fault.
Well, no one can say he was overscored this time. 169.39 with a fall and an shaky landing. Takahashi got 177.11 with a fall, a shaky landing, a hand down and fairly mediocre spins.
Did I ever state that Chan was underscored? What I did say is that he wasn't overscored. But I bet even if Chan had scored 140 points, some people would STILL claim he was overscored. By the way, it's funny how so many people were bashing takahashi after the olys for getting the bronze despite a nasty falls and now everyone defend him no matter what.Back then, I was defending Takahashi and firmly believed he did deserve his medal over Weir,Lambiel and...Patrick Chan,
no matter how many times i watch it i still don't like this season's choreography as compared to the previous seasons. he should get lori nichol back for the olympics!
Get over yourselves, haters ... So the best male skater in the world for 2 years running, having won 9 of his last 11 competitions, has a bad day. So what? Takahashi fell all over the place in his previous competition! Hanyu has FS meltdowns half the time. This is sport, these are elite athletes doing their best on the day.
It certainly wasn't perfect. But a step out is not as bad as a fall. And Hanyu's quad wasn't exactly perfect either. Even his usually excellent triple axel wasn't that secure. In fact, none of Hanyu's jumps was perfect in the short. At the end, Chan scored just 2 points more than Hanyu. So the scoring seemed fair to me. Presentation-wise, sorry but Chan still has an edge over Hanyu. So does Takahashi.

Definitely no fall in his SP, get your eyes checked, thanks....

Awful! He won't be world champion that's for sure. Can't win with a dance teacher as your coach.
Well his coach is quite knowledgable about skating and she has worked with skaters before so to say that she knows nothing about skating is wrong
You got remember that only flawless jump does not make a great skater in the whole world. You should educate yourself more.
