I love this cup so much! From those awesome paint brushstrokes to the decal to the saying, I absolutely love how it honors service members in a very classic way. I was just thinking it would be cool to have the veteran's name and years of service on it or possibly names of fallen ones in memoriam. I might even make one with my Grandpa's service picture. So many ideas for such a great cup, thank you so much for sharing this one! Can't wait to see the other July 4th ones 👏👏👏 Gotta say when I heard your screendoor creak it gave me a huge rush of nostalgia ❤ I spent jr high and high school in the south and had no idea the effect that noise would have on me as a grown adult. It's the little things 😊

Heyyyy beautiful patriotic cup! I think I’m the one who told you to use white spray paint when you were doing the last dilemma situation. But if it’s going over white it’s not necessary. When you did this one with a white base it was ok to use the waterside directly on it. Next time try using a black base and then spray paint the mirror imaged water slide like you did here. And try alcohol ink to feather out the black. And I know you know inks bc of the mermaid cups. Js this one was extra steps for you. I love the end result tho!!! That particular art piece is so cool. Love ya girlfriend!! Rock on.. and ‘Ramble on’ 🎸🎶 (Yes Led Zeppelin pun..they’re amazing 🤩 😂)
Hey sweetie!.... there's definitely an argument to be made that there was an extra step or two but like I said in the video, I used to carry this exact cup in my store so I did the process for the tutorial the way I always made it back then. I knew that I wanted to do a much bigger and better and isolated tutorial on how to add a water slide to a black cup and I didn't want THIS tutorial to be THAT tutorial. If you know what I mean! Lol! I have made this cup before using the black spray paint, the Black Craft paint, the black alcohol ink. I like the black craft paint because I feel like I have more control and I know that with doing the brush strokes with the craft paint was going to give me the desired look that I wanted. And as far as the white spray paint on the back, it may be completely in my head but I honestly feel like it's saturates the colors better than just adding a clear water slide to a white cup. It may be completely illogical (#probably) but it's just one of those things I have in my head... I think it looks better. Lol! I appreciate you 🤗 XOXO
i actually wish i made it a bit larger .. i did 3 inches wide by about 4 inches longer ... i wish i made it just a bit wider so it would wrap around the cup just a little bit but thats just me .. lol
