Is it possible to select ranges manually i really like these meter i am a golf cart mechanic do alot of electrical diag with 12v-72v DC controllers and motors and some AC motors...
I have been looking for a new meter with current clamp this one looks the beat!!! But i would really like to be able to have a selectable range... and also how fast does the resistince reading take on this meter i would like one that is fast!

I have a question does this tester meter do everything the square "benchtop" does? Or is it missing features that the other one can do and this cant???
GD166A does not have DC Current measurement function, while GD166B and GD168B have this function and I think the difference is in the shape.
I got this meter. Not good for fault finding as too slow to read values and awkward to change between settings. Ok for irregular use.
Do you knownthe difference betwen the 166b and the 168b?? I accidently bought the 166b instead of the 168b.. to me they look identical almost the body and clamp shape are slightly different buttons located on bottom on the 168b and the 166b on top of the screen if you can find anymore info on the difference i would be very grateful... im so stupid for ordering the wrong one...

The temperature displayed is a dud. It does not measure room temp. Very annoying. The temp probes must be plugged in pointless having this rubbish temp on your screen all the time
