I tried Fleor a while back on a random low dollar Amazon build… they are so good! So full & rich! I just ordered my third or fourth one…
That's really cool! These pickups are really great. I was cautiously optimistic but they far exceeded my expectations. New life for an old guitar. Keep rockin' 🤘🎸
Really interesting video ! Thank you for sharing !
My pleasure!
Just grabbed a set of "59's" from Artek (who apparently make all the no name pick ups and off brands) and they really do kick ass. Artec/Artek is supposed to be the leading manufacturer of pickups in the world, kind of like core guitar is the largest manufacturer of guitars. I do have to say that I am impressed with the price and the quality. I needed to get the gold hardware on mine which bump the price up to 38 but the nickel equivalents are around 30 and I tell you they are fantastic
Sounds cool. I need to try those pups out too!
Wow! What a difference. I got some pickups from musiclilly for $33.00 a set and they kick ass. I bought 1 set of the alnico5. Haven't tried them yet. Also bought a set of the ceramic ones. They sound great.
Now you've tried IKN's budget brand Fleor
I'd highly recommend you try their higher end hand-wound brand OriPure, got a set of the OriPure soapbars in a tele, awsome, same for the Oripure PAFs I put in a Les Paul
That sounds cool, thanks for the tip!
That looks and sounds like a very satisfying upgrade. My go-to pickups are Tonerider when I've felt the need to upgrade, but really, if we start with a decent guitar the original pickups should be fine, unless the aim is to go for much higher output, or noiseless ones.
Thanks, yes, mega satisfying. The neck was broken on this guitar so I paid next to nothing for it... I fixed it up and wow. The new pups are the icing on the cake. I just love playing it now!
@@appetiteforguitar I love them! Prefer them sometimes even over my DiMarzio, no joke!
i got a set in my sg also only thing i need is to take and replace the pentiometers and all with the iconic 50's wiring etc eventually
Nice. Yep, I eventually want to do something very similar. That's the joy of modding... bit by bit... and you can get something pretty awesome.
@@appetiteforguitar oh yeah I got a few sweet ones in the collection black les Paul custom I threw the emg setup on then a burst with slash alinco 2. Double neck eventually needs some new pickups and wiring attention. A charvel so cal that's a Ferrari that and the black custom are my Two most insanely fast guitars always hunting for a white custom being massive rhoads fan too
This budget pickups is something lile a duncan jb?
The Fleor certainly has a lot of clarity, punch and full tone. Great all round pickups. I've not got the Duncan JB at the moment, but from what I know, it has crisp highs and full low end. These pickups have great low end and clear highs. Compared to my Gibson with 490R and 490T they still sound brilliant despite a much lower cost.
Wow.. I've never seen a pup be dead on one string like that. As for the Fleors. I've bought several of their humbuckers. All were well worth the money.
I know, same here. Really odd about the pretty dead G string. The Fleors have made such a big difference. They cured the dead string and then some. It feels like having a brand new guitar. As I get time, I'm going to gradually upgrade a few of my guitars with them. The value for money is great. I'm normally very dubious about cheap gear, but these sound incredible regardless of price.
I consider Donlis and Tonerider decent alternatives if Artec doesn't have what I'm looking for.
