This song was one of the first songs J-Hope danced to as a child. Like it was a *huge* inspiration to him to begin his passion of dancing, which is why he wanted to do a remix of this song so badly. He even paid 2.7 million dollars to the original creator. The song really does have a special place in his heart so it's great he got the opportunity to put his own twist on it.

Technically, everyone in America is American, from North Pole to South Pole. It just happened that the United States misappropriated "American" for itself, which is incorrect. Note the preposition "of" in United States OF America. That is your proof. It is like the word "cocoa" is what we take for granted now as spelled, however it is actually a 500 year old spelling mistake. But that doesn't mean it's correctly spelled now. No, we just use the wrong spelling today. So, if you are a citizen of Chile, Canada, Mexico, USA, Brazil, etc you are all American. You cannot change that for all unless you formally & officially change the word America to something else.

Citizens of the USA are called American, only because it really is just a nickname or slang. The term "American" encompasses the entire continent of America, which is then divided into north & south. People in Europe are divided further, into northern, southern, eastern & western Europeans. Africans are the same, 4 directions as well. America is divided into mainly north & south because people perceive the isthmus of Panama as a dividing geography because it is thin, so it almost looks like there should be a gap there. It is like when you stretch out that wad of chewing gum you just chewed with your fingers until it snaps apart into 2 pieces. Right before it snaps, there is that thin part. That is the isthmus of Panama. However, before the gum snaps, it was technically one wad of gum. So with that logic, north & south are still technically connected & thus it is an entire continent. And the Panama Canal has nothing to do with it, that is recent & man-made. The isthmus has been there for nearly 3 million years. However, people turned the word into a plural, thus it is called the Americas, not America. And the middle part is now called Central America.
There is also some politics involved. People in North America try to keep distance away from Central & South America because as you hinted, central & south is totally different culture from the north, namely called Latino, or Latin America, because of the Spanish & Portuguese invasion & colonization there. Whereas in the North, it has mostly turned into colonization of northern Europeans. So if you are Canadian, Mexican or Paraguayan & someone asks if you are American, thinking that you are from the US, say "Yes", because you are American. It is the same as if someone asks if you are Asian, even if you are from China, Japan, Tibet or Indonesia. All all them are Asian, from the Asian continent. I won't even get into that because this comment is getting long lol, because really Europe, Asia & Africa is technically one continent, Afroeurasia. And don't fret, because 250 millions years from now, all the continents will not look like what they are now, because it is continuously changing. We humans don't see it changing because it is very slow for us.
In summary, people in South America are also Americans. People in the United States are American, only because no one could make a nationality name up with just the words "United" & "States". The term "Of America" really meant what continent the USA is on. By that same reason, Canada is really Canada of America. Peru is Peru of America. Argentina is Argentina of America. Etc etc. Again, it was a misappropriation by United States of the word "American" that happened long ago that even people from other nations don't even think twice about it. And people in the US get angry when people in central & south America also want to call themselves American. This is not intellect & meditation on the subject by those in the US, but rather blind patriotism or nationalism. It's sad, but that's politics for you. But again, it's also temporary, it won't matter in 100 million years.

If someone is into you, they will let you know. Just like when a guy is really into a girl they call her or text her back. It should be natural and easy, don't force it, if it's meant to be it will work out. Don't stress and overcomplicate things. Just do you and good things will come your way.

Exactly, ANY ghosting bitchasss ain't even worth to be sad over cause they have ZERO respect for you and are legit cowards. Do them a favor and treat them the same by ignoring them too if they do come back.
The original song inspired J~Hope to become a dancer; he wanted to pay homage to it. Paid around $17k to the original artists to do this. Originally was gonna film in Harlem but whoever he was gonna do it with fell through. Met Becky G at an awards show,... talked abt working together,..😉 At the end of the mv, credit was given to each of the 50 dancers (of different nationalities) onscreen as his way of additionally supporting young dancers as he did not have this kind of support/exposure...
1. J~Hope said he missed his BTS brothers and was lonely. Jungkookie was originally supposed to accompany him but it didn’t work out.
2. One of the dancers said he never met anybody who worked as hard as J~Hope.
3. J~Hope was afraid he, Becky G, and the dancers would have a hard time communicating... Becky G said dont worry; we’ll talk by our bodies with our dance!
4. The day shots of the mv was filmed in one take😉
5. Saw someone say the Go JHope blimp was sent to him for support by BTS!

Did you notice the daylight scene was one take? There is a video of J Hope talking about the making of it. He said that Becky G was really nice, even though they did something like 6-8 takes (in addition to all of the practices). It was really hot that day. He felt really bad. They would finish a take, and he watched it and would see something that needed to be fixed. (One example, The cars spinning donuts were so loud that he could not hear the track and it would throw off his timing.)

guys if you want to read the lyrics before getting into the music video read it from this site doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ the cc on the official music videos is made to (mostly) rhyme in english so the parts of the lyrics get lost in translation, while color coded lyrics videos are just poorly and mostly literally translated so they don’t even make sense most of the times. the site i linked is from a korean army who explains deeper meanings, references and wordplay so please read those while listening to the songs💜
