Arlene Smith has pipes only GOD can give. She has the voice of an angel with a pitch out of this world. No one can match her and no one will ever sing "Maybe" as she does. GOD bless Arlene Smith and the Chantels.

I remember watching Doo Wop 50 and 51 when they first came out in 1999 and 2000. Time has even flown since those two programs aired and many of the artists featured on those programs are no longer with us. Thanks TJ for doing this project and preserving the artists of yesteryear.
According to Wikipedia, the 4 members of the Chantels that perform in this video are still alive as of September 2023. If they are still able to sing, it would be really, really neat if they could re-unite for one more concert.
That is true, All 4 original members in this video are still alive. Ami Ortiz(The first Lead singer, non-original) Is still alive but retired. The lead singer is now the daughter of one of the original members.@@filmreader

I remember all of this music well and can sing along, as long as I'm alone. I can't express what a huge Doo Woo fan I am. Gerry Butler is an incredible singer. The Chantels are amazing, as are all of the rest of the groups. No Maybe about it.

I thought the Chantels were a boy group; I guess I never saw images of them.
The Chantels Were A long time Girl Group in the 50s and 60s
There has never nor will ever be singers like this. I only wish I could have been there for this show. Keep up the doo wop shows Jerry Butler, let me not forget you too are a fantastic singer and I love your music very much. Wishing these shows will continue we seniors truly this music we relive our younger days and the memories.;
