I don't understand, if she has a job or career why should he pay her child support? Isn't the purpose of women working claiming to be "independent" "have their own money" so as to be able to provide for the kids incase the father dies, or loses a job etc.?? I'm a retired social worker 40 years employed and went to law school, the majority of cases I helped young guys through won because no man brings up on appeal or motion to reconsideration gender (male) discrimination. Canon laws prohibit fender discrimination and the 14 amendment of us constitution spread the word 😊

That’s usually because the court never does so blatantly. If it is newborn, they argue the benefits of breastfeeding (which they do not consider gender discrimination). If the mother got more time for maternity leave than you got for paternity leave, they argue that she has been the primary caregiver (regardless of why she was allowed longer leave). If you earn more money, they argue it is in the best interest of the child for her to be the one the pull back on work hours. None of this of course takes into consideration the long term benefits of equal involvement.

Why women were granted the children i don't know. I am divorced and did not want ANYTHING from my ex husband, other than him singing the papers and appearing in court. It was a pleasant experience considering it was ending. No slander, lies or disrespect from either of us. My opinion it depends on the individual and their thought processes. Just cause it’s over don’t mean you have to hurt that person.

This is why marriage never made dollars and sense to me as a man. There are virtually zero negative consequences for a woman to break the contract. In my opinion that’s why the divorce rate is so high and women initiate 75-80% of all divorces. And with no-fault divorce she can really behave badly and still get paid. When a husband cheats on his wife he is risking losing his wife, the kids, his house, the good car and substantial financial resources via child support and alimony. When a wife cheats, the husband again risks losing everything. The longer a man is married to a woman the greater the incentive becomes for that woman to divorce that man and she has the government backing her up. Marriage has become nothing more than insurance where the man pays the premium but only the woman receives the benefits if the relationship goes left. In my opinion relationships are hard enough to navigate without the threat of financial and emotional ruin dangling over your head.
So if y'all are telling women to marry before you carry then you get mad when the marriage end and you have to pay for you kids lifestyle?

My grandfather (my mom's dad) paid for my parents wedding and gave them $10,000 to put down on a house. My parents have been married for over 50 years.
My parents paid for me and my hubby's wedding and sold us the home I was raised in for a reasonable price. We're blessed and grateful. My parents could have gotten 5x more back from what they originally paid for that house. Because they were building a retirement home, we asked them if they would sell it to us and they agreed on the price. God is good.

I disagree. Marriage is honorable! The problem today is that many people are not worthy of it anymore than they are ready for it. I stumbled to my job each day now 30yrs later I received $1600. He had nothing and would have gone to jail!
