    I also experienced leaking from beneath the machine. I read a comment which advised that one must empty the drop tray because of you don’t, it will overflow. However,? The water is actually coming out from BENEATH the machine. When I use the coffee machine, I often find water beneath it as well. It’s not harmful when it’s just water, but the descaling solution is caustic and can eat away the counter. I am grateful for all of the people who mentioned their experience, it prepared me to look for the leak. WHERE IS IT COMING FROM!!??

      I discovered the issue after the 3rd machine was sent to me and I was fed up. Basically at the very back of the drip tray there’s a little water jet that shoots out excess water after priming the steam pump. The issue is that if you leave the grate that sits on the inside of the drip tray it sort of blocks that vent and causes the water to drip out. I ended up removing the insert completely and just empty out the drip tray every other day, and problem solved. Other than that small issue it really is a fantastic machine.

      The only way I stopped this from happening is leaving the drip tray attached while doing the descaling because it will leak underneath the unit and create a pool of water on the kitchen counter apart from that design flaw it’s an excellent coffee machine.

    Like others said, it LEAKS out the bottom of the machine and overfills an empty drip tray even with a container under the coffee dispenser. The video doesn't show using a second container under the steam wand. You guys need to shoot a new Instructional video for this. I expected better from an $800 coffee machine

    Does not specify what is "two units" of the descaling solution @038 secs. Is it one packet of 100ml or 200ml? It only shows putting one packet.

    • @nespresso
      @nespresso  Před 10 měsíci +6

      The Nespresso Descaling Kit comes with two packets, 100ml each, of descaling solution. Use both packets for one descaling cycle in the Vertuo Creatista, which may be descaled remotely via the Nespresso App. While the descaling alert will flash orange when it's time to descale, we recommend descaling every 3 months or every 300 capsules, whichever comes first. If you need additional assistance or guidance, call 800.562.1465. A machine expert will be happy to help.

      @@eborth5427 I am finding the same, I have owned 3 Nespresso machines but upgraded to this for Christmas and is so high maintenance and even wrote that in my product review. I have owned the machine for less than 2 months and already need to descale it on top of the million other quirks it has.

      @@nespressoThe descaling kit I just opened (the one that came with the machine) only contained one (100ml) packet.

    I followed these directions and the liquid leaked out the bottom of my machine and completely ruined my countertop. These directions are terrible and this machine is terrible and will most likely cost me thousands of dollars.

      What you need to do is empty drip tray after first part of discaling. When the water tank empties the first part of discaling, you need to empty the drip tray because it collects extra water. If you don't empty the drip tray it will overflow and that is why you have water underneath the machine.

  • @justinelouise5534
    @justinelouise5534 Před 4 měsíci +2

    These instructions are terrible, you only show the top half of the machine during a very important part where you have the jug under the nozzle and where the coffee comes out. You say to put a 2l jug underneath which is next to impossible to find one that big that is low enough to get the nozzle under and is wide enough to go underneath both. In the video it 'looks' like the jug isn't under the steam nozzle but you say in the video to put it underneath (and liquid comes through the steam spout). Very frustrating video that I had to watch about 10x to get it right. Yet 'another' high maintenance aspect of this machine that I have only owned for 2 months and already needs descaling.

      Just use 2 large mugs next time. One for each nozzle. Machine stops and gives you planty of time to empty them so you can continue with discaling. I find it is easier that way.
