2021 Honda CRF450R Works Edition: 2nd Ride with New EFI Maps

Second ride at Grear MX on my 2021 Honda CRF450R Works Edition with the updated EFI maps from Honda. The new maps work great on this cold day (44F) with crisp throttle response from low to high rpm with strong power. This new ’21 CRF450R engine is very powerful with excellent partial throttle roll on torque feel (I think the downdraft intake helps) yet is controllable. The engine feels so fast and 5th gear wheelies are easy! The slight hesitation/sluggishness with quick throttle inputs at very low engine rpm I could feel sometimes (mostly Map 2) with the original EFI maps is gone. Looking forward to more rides soon!

What is the name of the dealer that reflashed the ECU for you? My dealer claims they can't do it , as the battery wire harness Honda lists with the service bulletin needed for the 2021is on back order!

Honda Marysville Powersports in Marysville, Ohio. They can update the 21 CRF450R/RX/WE.
