Actually "cry for me" was supposed to never see the light of day, but the girls insisted to perform it on M.A.M.A. 2020 because they love it, and the rest is history
They performed on MAMA saying it's a gift for onces and I consider a Performance MV this performance is the first time released the song
Jihyo is a woman on another level. So beautiful so charismatic, stage presence is the best ❤
I would say Jihyo and chaeyoung are the aces of Twice while,nayeon is the center and fit most twice songs and Image And Sana is always iconic since she stand out most of the times + she's center material
Jihyo slayed the Kelly Clarkson show version, and Sana was so hot in the dance practice 2 video!
They also have the English version of Cry for Me also Jeongyeon is not present in the performance videos is because she was on hiatus during that time
Yeah the final chorus with Jihyo in the center, she puts so much power into the moves and singing really stands out.
This song is such a tasteful masterpiece across the board, the structure, the instrumentals, the melodies and emotion in the vocals, just WONDERFUL and the CHOREO is so elegant and detailed

Jihyo is oldest longest trainee in twice but she’s main vocalist, nayeon is center and fotg so it’s kind of easy to understand why they pushed her and it worked. Public didn’t say “twice songs are catchy but I hate nayeon voice did they?…. Koreans who don’t bias her agree she fits twice as a center the best ,their image is cute, fresh and bubbly at debut and nayeon vocal fits that best.
@@Studios809 she is talented for sure but so is the other members. This song for example was dark and deep, you would think that they will highlight the members with deeper voice but no.
I just wish they have a bit balance and doesn’t make everything about her every single comeback . It’s will be much more fresh if one or two other members shines in different era like every other kpop group.

during 'i can't stop me' promotion, on radio show with Momo (Chaeyoung too?) Momo said they have 'title candidate' but the company choose 'i can't stop me' because another don't fit with TWICE's image, but she and Chaeyoung love that's song (no one know what's that song at that time)
during MAMA2020 Jihyo went on VLIVE to cheer up ONCE and said wait for their performce. (still not a clue)
after performance, Nayeon said 'cry for me' is one time thing. (and tease, if you want it, might ask to JYPE.) but the response was good, so JYPE release official audio (on MAMA2020 stage not the finalized track but some said they like this raw sound more)
i thinks, that's why 'cry for me' don't have MV. they don't plan for this so they don't have budget for it. (some even make fun that TWICE got out of control. :D)
their first OT9 performance was in US tour 'III'.
