Yellowstone Wolves Battle Grizzly Over Bison Carcass

We had heard that a grizzly had been feasting on a carcass one morning, so we visited that location just before sunset hoping that the grizzly would return. As the sun set and snow started to fall, the grizzly emerged out of some trees just as we had hoped. Briefly after he started to consume the carcass, the grizzly mysteriously and abruptly stopped and ran up the hillside. Suddenly, nine wolves from the '8 mile pack' magically appeared from the brush and converged around the grizzly, cornering it up the hillside.
The video shows the battle over the carcass over the course of ~90 minutes, well after sunset. This was shot handheld with a focal length equivalent to 800mm, from a safe distance from within a vehicle.
