    Great review! Not overly wordy, and you hit all the high points that others didn't. I especially appreciate the cost breakdown for monthly usage. GREAT VIDEO.

    Thanks for the update… I did a single 2inch cover for the top… thinking of adding another 2 inches on the top and next time I empty it adding a 2 inch base.

    I have this same spa and I think it massages great. The jets feel great on my back. It's a great spa.

    Great info, appreciate the follow up and specifics on power use. Looking at putting one in a sun room, which is only passively heated from sun and loss from house wall it's attached to.
    In somewhat colder area near Chicago, and probably would only have it going autum to midwinter.
    I feel like the figures you gave are a good benchmark, sort of rough figure that with same insulation I'd be at 1500 to 2000 kwh. (?)
    Looks like I'm going to Costco soon.

    I know the clips are painful when your nipples are freezing off….but I thinks it’s more of a safety issue for me…..gotta keep grandkids out. The power outage is a problem in Nova Scotia, so eyes on daily is important. Great video!

    For those that get full direct sun, the blue bubble wrap “solar” covers actually work surprisingly well. It can raise your tub 10 degrees or more. But you need to be diligent about still covering tub with insulated cover when it’s not in the sun and over night of course, but I was surprised by how much heat it actually can generate when it is in direct sun.

    Last question ( probably not ) is there any reason you didn’t fit the insulation under your hot tub cover ?

    I was curious if you would do a specific separate video about the summer inflation versus winter inflation in terms of how soft you should let your inflatable hot tub be versus how hard it should be is there like a tire pressure gauge like we have our cars? Love your videos by the way thanks.

    • @AllMyHobbies
      @AllMyHobbies  Před rokem

      No i don't have a video. But the tub has like a over pressure release valve built In so you cant over pressurize it. If it feeling too soft you can re pump it.

    Thank you for your video. Just set mine up similar to yours in Colorado winter. I was wondering did you make your floating cover or buy it? I can’t find anything that isn’t the bubble wrap kind, and yours looks perfect.
    Thanks

    any issues with leaks? I want to set one up inside, at least in the winter, in the basement with water proof flooring so even in a catastrophic failure it wouldn’t do much damage, just a pain to clean up

    use it only in summer/sunny months, (april till September) with my leftover energy from solar panels,

  • @dylansoutdooradventures

    get the intex deluxe cover and flip is upside down. Will insulate the bottom and outside walls.

    We use our Coleman hot tub in Maine all year round but are using about 25kWh per day in very cold weather, but it stays 100-104F. We have it Insulated underneath. I'm planning to insulate the top too! Can you share which smart power meter you are using? We have a regular power meter but I like the app you had with daily totals.

    Have you had any issues with it being in the rain? Any DIY projects to keep it dry? Noticed on my instruction manual it says do not use in the rain…

    • @AllMyHobbies
      @AllMyHobbies  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I have not. It rains more where i live then almost anywhere in the world and have had no problems. My diy cover keeps the water from pooling on the cover. Now thats just my model you might have a little different tub so you have to decide

    Is insulating the pump not necessary ??

    • @AllMyHobbies
      @AllMyHobbies  Před 2 lety +1

      no not in my option. i did insulate the short tubs that go to the tub but i don’t think having the pump run in a very hot box is a good idea. the pump is probably air cooled and it probably needs that.
