Many of these can also be gained from Trial mode, which for me was much better than random chest spawns/bazaar:
Zodiac Spear is a rare steal from Biding Mantis in trial stage 62.
Dhanusha is a rare steal from Krjn in stage 71.
Golden Axe is a Stage 52 rare steal from Catoplebas.
Masamune is a Stage 72 rare steal from Avenger.
Tournesol is a stage 100 uncommon steal from gabrant (ouch)
Bone of Bylos is a stage 59 rare steal from Ba'gamnan

Dhanusha can be also stolen by the rare Luxollid in Pharos - Subterranea. Discovered while trying to get Staff of Magi and, since it is a rare monster, it's his only possession to steal.
The dagger also in the room with diabolos avenger & overlord there is a small chance if you poach overlord (yes you can poach him in trial mode) you get that dagger

As for Masamune you don't need to activate Gilgamesh. Just go to the room where you will fight him the second time and the sword is there 100%. But you need to complete the Antlion hunt first and get the Site 11 key on Phon Coast.
you need haste to make use of wyrmhero, its slow as hell.
Zero Bahamut you can use it on a black mage auto faith and no lag.

Masamune can be picked up from the final room you fight Gilgamesh in BEFORE accepting the hunt, so can get it without beating him. I've done this recently in the ZA version.
As far as the Hunt Club, I'm highly tempted to go with the Ribbon accessory for the trophies instead of the Spear and the Zodiac Escutcheon since you can potentially get it from the Hennes Mines. What say you folks?
You can get ribbon also in trial mode stage 49
When I got this on the switch version(stolen in Trial Mode), I instantly gave it to Basch. He was my hero when playing through this game on the PS2. The demo was a great introduction to the characters. I would play both stages and see the little video that plays right after. It was like, "These are the characters you will be journeying with". All because my uncle came home with the demo disc that came with Dragon Quest VIII.

You don’t have to do Gilgamesh hunt to get Masamune. Just as long as you get the key should be able to walk over there get it. Also scythe.

Got it from a chest in the Westernsands in the area with only 2 tomato monsters and 1 wolf tho i heard they were easy to get in trial mode
xXMasterJ360Xx you can get diamond armlets from the chest in the very first trial. You can actually farm some gil early game that way because each diamond armlet sells for 6000 gil

Also I don't think the golden axe spawns in cerobi steppe cause if what u said is true every 5 times u leave and come back the chest would be there with the 50 percent chance for golden axe. And I did it probably close to 15 times that would be at least three chance for it but nope only the stupid cleanse chest is there.
The turnesol blows the sword away. It's still worth having though
Great guide! Thanks! I find the Wyrmhero Blade painfully slow to use, even with Haste. Maybe it's good for a berserker. I went back to using Excalibur since it felt like I was doing more DPS :)
Well i use to have masamune rather than zodiac spear for combo it does more damage and fenrir gun with berserk rapes

As for Trango towers and Gendarme. They're the 3 invisible equipments added in IZJS. There's no model of them, which is lazy AF in mu opinion.

Most weapons can be easily acquired using the cure method, real simple and easy. I've been using it since the izjs and works fine in zodiac age

I think they are referring to the method where you start a new game and cast cure as Reks until you hit a certain number. You use it to manipulate rng and can guarantee a chest for something like zodiac spear, seitengrat, etc
You should also add Mina (Shikari's Nagasa F) which is a rare poach from Overload (I think) from Stage 71.

I haven’t got to Gilgamesh yet but in the encounter does he drop it or do you have to steal in? In fact do you have to steal for all the battles that drop these weapons?

Masamune is a confirmed item you can find after defeating Gilgamesh. But the Kumba is better though.

how do you get the license that arent connected to the board, i have vaan able to use ninja swords, but i cant unlock the yagyu dark blade and the mesa, i have the mesa but i cant unlock the license,. kinda confused to that

Ninja Swords are locked behind Quickening nodes. And since you can only unlock 3 of the 4 Quickening nodes, you have to plan which Ninja Swords licences you want. So if you have made the choice of unlocking the quickenings in proximity to Ninja Swords 1, 2 and 3, then im afraid you cant unlock Ninja Swords 4 which contains YDB and Mesa.
The moment you unlock your third Quickening, all other Quickening nodes for that character disappears from the boards, which remove the "bridge" that connects to some licences. This is most likely why you cant unlock Ninja Swords 4 since that "bridge" is gone.

The Wyrmhero Blade is actually terrible. It's really only good for casters because of the persistent Faith status. It's so slow that the really high combo rate doesn't make up for it. Excalibur is actually better for a Holy-elemental greatsword. Tournesol is hands down the best greatsword.

You can't get it in the Original ps2 2006 Version of the Game because the Bow is Not implemented
Only the 2007 japanese re-release ps2 Version and Zodiac age Version on ps4
