thank you for all your tutorials, they are so practical, easy to understand and informative! They have helped me so much for my work.
Thanks very much for sharing this, very interesting topic. It would also be great to see in a follow-up video a more detailed comparison between the renderers (advantages and disadvantages, technical issues, compatibility with specific 3d and CAD software packages, materials transfer issues, CPU-GPU utilisation, MacOS vs Windows compatibility and performance etc etc - it's a huge topic! :-).
Absolutely true what you say about most clients not needing or not being able to afford hyper-realistic renderings, and that architects should first focus on the architecture and later-on as they gain more experience, move into advanced rendering techniques. However, as technology improves (both hardware and software), third party renderers are becoming more effective (even if their price is still high), plus, most are offered with subscription-based pricing, which is very flexible. At the same time, their advanced capabilities can be used in a more artistic way, to produce a variety of effects, instead of striving just for absolute photorealism. If used properly, they can offer a good balance between speed and sophistication for a good quality architectural presentation.
Architectural visualisation is also extensively used in the movies & special effects industry, for building environments and FX (cityscapes, buildings cross-sections, interiors etc,), or advertising world (similar applications) so if one wants to specialise in that industry (instead of purely working as an Architect) choosing and learning one or more 3rd party renderer may be essential.
Thanks again, all the best
I am recently learning Revit. Also, I have a plan to start learning photoshop after Revit.
It will help me in the presentation of my works at my company.
Thanks for your help.🙏
This time I am using Archicad + lumion 10+ Twinmotion 2021+Enscape +5D yes almost.and every software has it's own function according to designs. I m using twinmotion for Animation. Lumion for Exterior Renders and Enscape for interior that's it
I've worked with V-Ray for a decade but have ditched it in favor of D5 Render with Rhino 3D, and I'm really happy with the snappy fast workflow with a realtime renderer combined with true ray tracing support :-D Works really well with both exteriors and interiors.
I use luminon 10 now.. Its great.. Works for me. And fast
lumion is my favourite when it comes to rendering
Mostly new in revit, I've like lumion but found enscape lot more interesting and easy to use.
@@jasmeetsingh48 Twinmotion is the best: friendly interface and full of options, but if you want the MOST realistic then its Lumion. Enscape or vray has lack of elements.
very informative i thank you for taking the time to make this video
Make one tutorial video for Revit rendering and Photoshop editing and compose it in a presentation sheet
I am using Vray but still learning Lumion for quick rendering.
I use Octane and Redshift for renderings
Octane is simple to use and gives great results
Redshift is a bit complex but its just as good if not better than vray
I really like Lumion thanks your video
I have only used Enscapes and really like it, but these other softwares look really good as well, thanks for the video.
Great job!
Lumion is the best one for me .
Good job. I’m more into photorealistic renders and that’s what I go for nowadays. Anything less just doesn’t cut it for me. I have been working a lot with blender (Cycles) these days, and I noticed it wasn’t mentioned 😊. The software is quite amazing, keeps improving regularly and of course is FREE.
@@polarbear6597 I hear Revit to Blender is quite seamless. I stopped using Revit years ago so I can’t say for sure but I know there are quite a number of videos out there on the topic.
@@bme4285 yea but blender eats hell lot of cpu & gpu for small elements especially when you want 4k photorealistic renders etc. I find revit uses less cpu and gpu compared with blender.
For me: Twinmotion, Lumion, Enscape, V-ray and Thea render. 👌🏽
I needed this
Nice review, Balkan. I use Lumion a whole lot. I've got some animations here. Its my best software.
Corona in 3ds Max is able to produce some of the best, if not the best, and most realistic renders, definitely worth mentioning...
Rendering is for fun ?!! Com on u will be able to sell the project by providing realistic render .. I am not saying we have to focus on render and forget the design , but the good design will look even better with realistic render .
Selling the project? In the industry when you render a building you already have the job.
I kinda felt the same way..."a hobbie?" That is the selling tool, a realistic portrayal of the design.
If u workin in a professional company, u gonna hav a team for modelling artist or render artist and etc. and to have fun.
Let me ask u,
Whats for? Which what u are doin now exmaple lets say you are being the admin in that job u know its jus not ur interest. Jus stressfull work. What for?
Have some fun is needed to every major we pick to every job we pick that jus shows our passion into it.
Twinmotion one of my favorite rendering software ❤

I have uploaded some of my visualized project on my CZcams account u can visit
D5 and chaos vantage are future of rendering
Hi, Wonderful tutorials! Do you have any revit high rise building tutorial? specially for different shape of curtain wall. Please advise. Thank you.
I'm a beginner into landscaping in France and I'd like to create 3D rendered projects to my clients, what software should I start with ? I'd like one with large library of plants trees and minerals.
Thank you !
I'm an architecture student and I always felt others are so fancier and better than me and my college seems to focus on 'prettiness' a lot, be it renderings or "sketches' (when in fact their work is no longer a sketch but full on art lol)...so, thanks for the advice! I'm not as terrible as I think maybe.
I've been a vray user for a long time but I envy the other software just because of their model libraries
sir, how do you create such attractive page layout?? video clip at [5:20/6:37], which software is best to produce such layouts???
Please can you teach us about grid (how to use them, why are they important)
Thanks you So Much
please look for the D5 render...is it worth it?
are these softwares also good for modeling, texturing, and animation?
Hi there,
I'm planning a tiny house for my family and would like to plan it digital before on a very high level...what is your recommendation apple vs. pc and which programm is easy to use and still high level? many thanks and best wishes
thanks Sir, i try to be perfect in Lumion but as soon as i finish the 3d model in Revit or Sketchup and try to import to my Lumion it is not much more editable as i want to change the materials but right now i am happy to do with Twinmotion.
Revit & Twin Motion ---- The best 1 - 2 punch in architecture.
can you use Enscape from a file in fusion 360? r you need to import the fusion 360 file to sketchup first so that you can use enscape?
Thank you
Enscape is good but need some scatter tool for vegetation
Twinmotion have allot of potential because of epic and unreal engine
V ray i used in max or corona render
Lumion is pretty awesome and easy and fast
How can i work with Revit and vegetation? Thanks for your help.
Hello, I build and construct sauna's and I want to learn how to create 3D sauna's to help my customers get a better idea of what the saunas will look like before we start construction. What would be the best program to both learn and also make small rooms like saunas
Which one best for civil engineering aspect ?
I use Unreal Engine, very painful to learn but the results are amazing.
Yes I was learnig Unreal but for its to much for one man show, then i did learn blender for eevee for realtime still playing around with eevee, I want to go realtime render or VR, then I saw enscape in revit now playing with enscape its good but need some scatter tool for faster result
4:11 very cool house
Is there animation option in Vray for Revit
Awesome I use Revit to blender
Twin motion and vray are best for rendering
It’s my first time here . And I really wanna know the best software you will like to recommend to me as a beginner.
For me D5 Render and Unreal Engine is master class, Lumion after that than Vray and Corona what you say
Think Twinmotion is right up there with Lumion, also much more affordable and with better support for students.
vray is uncomparable on other softwares, maybe unreal engine but it is far to compete on vray, : 00 vray, 1 unreal engine, 2 corona, 3 enscape, 4 lumion, 5 twinmotion
I want to learn corona for 3ds max
I use Lumion and I want to learn more about it and the other rendering apps.
I'm a graphic designer for a commercial and residential investing company. I have lately been wondering if it would add value to my job if I were to learn about creating realistic renderings. I am proficient in the Adobe CC, but have wondered about learning how to use Revit. Any suggestions of where to start is greatly appreciated.
Good Day have you even tried Maya rendering software
What's your take on the best hardware combination? Intel or AMD? Graphics card? RAM? If you have a limited budget.
(It is easy if you have "unlimited" budget!)
Right now AMD is slightly better go for like R7 5800 or R9 5900,GPU minimum Nvidia Rtx 3070 and for ram go for minimum 16gb and have storage of 512gb or 1 Tb ssd
I use twinmotion as it is free for students
Thx
Anyone use Revit with Maxwell render? I'm curious if it works as good as Lumion
Hey Balkan architect, just started watching your videos and finding them quite informative... But yes I was wondering with ravit and BIM software in general can you construct subterranean structures and buildings?
Or do architects even design underground facilities in general or do geotechical engineers design them only and use specialized software? Thank you.
For interior Enscape Is the king
Hello everyone I am an architecture major graduate and all my student life I used Twinmotion so I wanted to share some tips
1-definitely use quixel megascans/ if you register with your epic games account you will access the 3d assets and materials for free
2- add grudge to some surfaces to avoid an artificial look
3- do not forget to add decals to your models
4-if reflective surfaces are not effective add reflection probes to the surfaces
5-play with lighting a lot(especially ambient light) because unlike Lumion you cannot decide on the darkness of the shadows which will result in darker, unreadable images
6-definitely go over your renders on photoshop/ balancing the contrast and tones, shadow darkness and add real skies
Twinmotion is such an amazing free renderer that u can use and impress your teachers it is just a bit harder to achieve amazing results
I m using twinmotion thats also realistic and easy to use
Revit + enscape is great
For budget and open source blender is good Balkan
Yeah but it wont render quite as nice. Still need to do troubleshooting if the user is not used to blender
I’m using endscape software plz tell good software than endscape ?
Can anybody know which software is ued by pebo architcts
Yo uso Artlantis Estudio mas de Doce años y me va muy bien
Hi guys! Would like to know if my RTX 2070 Q-max will be good enough to use those softwares?
Hello, vray uses cpu as base rendering and also has hybrid gpu and cpu which will ne good for you
Bro you will need to buy a GTX 730 .. only then you can get some results bro .. sorry to disappoint
I’ve always used 3ds max with vray, but I’m going to try lumion and twinmotion for my exterior scenes…
What about blender?
Anyone can answer this if u know about it....
Can we use it for architecture
Blender?
Revit+Lumion
I totally agree with you.
I was using V-Ray but since I didn't have much time for rendering, I concentrated on simple exportations from Revit, which are acceptable.
Thanks for your channel!
Sketchup, 3ds max, vray, mentalray
Revit, to 3dx Max with Vray
I'd like to learn Corona now, best software for working
lol all these people saying that Lumion isnt the best because they cant afford it lol - Lumion is the only software that allows you to be able to provide renders without blowing your clients budget, it is very user friendly and requires little time to create renders
Totally forgot to mention Vectorworks Architect
wanting. The idea was to get a midi keyboard and use the softs programd into soft soft, however, if I can't find tNice tutorials core soft, I
you forgot about Artlantis .....brilliant piece of software 👍👌

I am using vray
Which one is better for architecture?
good you chose the best one, vray is on another level if you master it
soft. THANKS TO THE THE TEACHER.
surprised blender didn't make top 5
not really a surprise...'''Top 5 Rendering Software for Architects''' Among the top 5 should be Corona and Octane should be on his list right next to Vray...when you say Blender i guess you mean Cycles ...then I would say plenty of users because it is integrated in Rhino and Cinema4D as well
Lumiiiooon and Revit
Hey really good video, which render software would you recommend a student???? I’m really confused. I started with Artlantis but I think it’s quit a bit complicated, also you can’t finde many tutorials on CZcams.
Is there any free rendering softwares? Or low budget software s?
Blender is free. I use it whit Revit. But Enscape 3D is not expensive.
what's going o guy welcome lock one
LUMION!!🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
