Honestly everything about this tiny house is nice. The part I love most is the bedroom area is divided by a closet. That can be modified to anything if you don't need the extra storage.

Yikes, so many things about this build I love! Incredibly innovative design with stand-up height everywhere(!). Truly beautiful, tasteful, color/texture-balanced, oh-so welcoming décor. Coat hooks handy beside a logically placed inward-opening door, and a convenient place to stow shoes too! The cupboard wall is amazing and adds much to the traditional house feel-what a great bedroom privacy wall idea. Ingenious space-saving step up to the bathroom. I feel an energy saving air exchange is so important, yet seems all too rare in tinies we’ve seen-I’d not seen this style, tho…cool! So cool too that water can be stored on board to extend off-grid possibilities. Big fridge, washer and dishwasher too(?!)-every convenience fitting so well in its allotted spot. Awesome storage solution for utilities, tools and gear. I’m a fan of keeping these outside but handy, so was especially impressed by this! I’m floored this build with all its beautifully detailed artistic work was completed by two in just 3 months-even with materials at hand. Hats off, this one tops my running “favorites” list. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! Alexis and Christian, beautiful work as always and have to admit I don’t even mind (actually enjoy) your quirky commercial breaks. :-)

Very nice little home, they did a great job! A little sliding cover for the skylight would be a cool addition if you wanted to rest during the day (if you were under the weather or just for a nap.) I'm amazed at how much stuff they got for so little - they made the most of it and nothing went to waste. Loved the tile in the kitchen and the floor in the bathroom, along with the bamboo floor. 💯👍
I love this design and the realistic approach to living. Dishwasher, usable refrigerator, the under cabinets, the storage in the bathroom and the garage. And it's beautiful. And all in 3 months?? Wow

Love the style, love the colors and they kept saying they didn’t have enough time to finish this so they did this, as far as I’m considered this is perfect. I love the idea of the water tank being below the bathroom, great idea. The only complaint I have and I have it with almost all tiny homes which is I would never have a Storage couch. Even if it took me six months to find the perfect couch I would still have a detached normal regular couch except it would be apartment style small. Beautiful home!

I agree with you on the sofa. I can't imagine an adult sleeping on the built in sofa. It's not deep enough for an average size adult. I have commitment issues, and prefer furniture I can rearrange, so built-ins are not for me. I've been noticing lately how tiny house owners say certain things "live" here. How about saying, "We keep our water heater here, our battery is stored there, or the off-season stuff is housed in here"?
Yeah as many people have pointed out, the couch that was built in a day is not as comfy as one you can buy, but it is something we will be upgrading in the future. And as for sleeping, we actually just move the cushions to the floor and have had people sleep there which is actually pretty comfortable.
@@hadeev if you notice, we actually reused a lot of adjectives and such throughout the video: we're not comfortable on camera so once we found a way to describe something it just stuck 😂

What kind of water heater do you have? We have solar and batteries, and when we add on to our house, we will be adding a bathroom. Still looking at water heaters tho that are economical...lol

I also love, love, love this beautiful home. LOVE it. There night be a couple things I might change or add...due a personal preference (ie- flush toilet, if possible, an apartment size couch with storage underneath. and a round galvanized tub). Again, it is one of the very best designs I have seen in over a year of viewing videos and researching...before I pursue building my own tiny within 6-12 months.
If at all possible, I would be SO APRECIATIVE of being able to purchase this lovely couple's amazing tiny home design. (As a Clinical Social Worker, I will definitely have too so my build on a budget, but this sweet "dream home" is what was already in my own head. So helpful to visualize through this video). Please advise if there is the possibility of purchasing these design plans from this incredibly talented couple)? THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
For first time building together, and the limited time they've had to get a working rhythm: they hit a long home run. Great design with memories in the floor, shower. Like the idea of the water storage below the bathroom.

I love the dog bed!! Will consider the dog bed for my next dog. My dog now loves to be near me but is over 16 years old with arthritis and can no longer even get on the low Japanese couch we have. Beautifully built home.
We ended up removing the doors and clearing out the compartment under the nightstand and put her bed down there as she has been more weary of making the jump onto the bed.
Sonia and Tim, I would like to congratulate you. You really knocked it out of the park with this build. I have looked at hundreds of videos of tiny houses. This layout is well thought out and is just perfect. I like the idea of starting with a fifth wheel very much. It's size accommodates your bedroom so much better than many builds. The design was great, the sizing was great the colors are great. This is really a place that I would enjoy living in. Congratulations and Bravo.

You guys did a great job. I love the space where you store all of your tools, etc. Your house is organized very well. I can't believe you did it in 3 months. I hope you had lots of help. You also did an amazing job of finding things that you could use in your house. That saves a bunch of money in a build. Great home.

Truly I am so amazed by the wisdom of this young couple to have built this wonderful home at such a low cost with I want to say an AMAZING GREEN % of 50% for a first time build!! I am an interior designer and at your age I was clueless pretty much about the green movement except for hardwood floors and home gardening - that would’ve been the extent of knowledge!!!!
I think you should be very proud of yourself for everything you’ve done in terms of the green movement and sustainability as well as making it so beautiful inside your home for the FIRST BUILD…. The coin floors in the bathroom, the hardwood features throughout the house,(Especially that kitchen table that pays homage to your Grandfather), The tile you put in the kitchen the efficient Ellie do you lights for extra lighting throughout the house your Solar Panels on top if your home, The energy efficient toilet, etc. so many choices that were wise and you’re both going to college at the same time you were building and I just want to say as someone who’s been to college three times in my lifetime that this is so much work and stress even though you were during the summer, the pressure of going to college is overwhelming and for those of you who have not been, and those of you who have not worked on a specific degree beyond just a couple years or four years, it is like working an 80 hour job, so to be able to focus on putting this wonderful house together is in my opinion fantastic and tremendously overwhelming & Very confident on your part. Please give yourself more credit than you are in this video😊❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ I would be so very proud of you if you were my children. Stay in school and finish your graduate programs as you were very close. Don’t let anyone or anything make you quit because I did that one year for someone I loved and I wish you both the greatest success in your careers but also much happiness in your life together don’t lose what you HAVE FOUND ALREADY IN BUILDING THIS TINT HOME♥️♥️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️♥️♥️

Beautiful, well thought out home! Even the different wood grains/texture work together. Never seen that before. Most of the time, it's too much. Your home is the Goldilocks standard for wood grain!
We definitely appreciate wood grain, but I agree, most of the time it is TOO much. We just tried to keep them separate from each other and make sure they looked amazing on their own and didn't clash.
I have to say your home is remarkable. So many thought out ideas for storage. Absolutely love it. The best I have seen thus far.

I see so many comments about how tiny houses are so expensive and not worth it or how the tiny house movement has gotten away from the early values of low cost homes. While there is some truth to those thoughts, it is also possible to still build for less. The industry is growing and changing…but with careful planning, like this couple did, a larger tiny home can still be accomplished with grace and style for a fairly small budget. I’m impressed with this home…and completed in 3 months. I’d love to see what they could do with even more time. Love their resourcefulness to start collecting items for their home as they planned. Well thought out design that works well for their lifestyle. And Christian…you are funny! I definitely giggled through your ad. The commercials tug on my heart strings because I miss the get-togethers. You two are amazing and fun and I always enjoy your content. 🎉🥰

A lot of people have expressed feelings that the tiny house movement has become unattainable, but I couldn't disagree more! If you want to build something for yourself, then start planning and start budgeting. It is still very doable but it takes work! And if you happen to have a lot more money than time, go ahead and spend the money on someone who knows what they are doing to build it for you! The individual has the power to do whatever they like :)
Yes it is a lovely home. And to have a bedroom that you can stand up is great and a fantastic idea to use the space for storage under the bathroom. You also have a very neat and practical storage. Enjoy your life and God bless.

You guys did a fabulous job for a short span of time. I like the decor and different textures selected to build the home. You took me back to the days when I had to hang clothes on the clothes line as a kid. 🤗 Fresh air is sometimes best for drying clothes. ❤

I love what you’ve done for the bathroom floor using all the coins you collected over the years that can’t be using more like panties and stuff and in the centre you have those ones you collected from every part of the country went to that is gorgeous that’s brilliant I love that idea
