John Piper's expository teaching style of God's Word is so enlightening and helpful to me. I thank God for anointing him and using him in such a mighty way. His messages are a blessing to me.

What a message from Pastor Piper. One of the few real preachers of this time. It’s sad he doesn’t have the strength he shows here anymore. It saddens me when preachers like him are close to the end. I pray Christ uses him until the very end of his life. God bless.

I pray God continues to use him mightily until the day he calls him home go Glory. And then I will listen to his sermons over and over, like I already do.

Not only is he arguably the best preacher of our time, I think he's best theologian of our time too.

the message is not about Piper's energy level. Seek the all powerful Spirit that never diminishes, no matter who God has as His spokes person.

Joy, beauty and harmony is the fruit of love.
Misery, ugliness and conflict grow from the root of all evil ...greed.

Go out and preach the gospel and then pray. But praying alone without doing the work is like praying that an apple tree will grow in my backyard without me planting it.

I think the parable about the vine and the branches is saying the same thing as the parable of the wheat and the tares.

without a doubt, this scripture, the vine and the branches, disproves the doctrine of eternal security. Without a doubt. Anything else is disingenuous and a real stretch of interpretation.

If one truly is a regenerated individual he will abide in Christ, will bear much fruit and will persevere- all of that is a work of God's grace in his life...His eternal security is in Christ. If he does not abide, does not persevere there is a big possibility there was no regeneration that ever took place.

People get “once saved, always saved” confused. They misinterpret. If you are TRULY saved, then you are ALWAYS truly saved, as Jesus says in John 10:28 “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”, and in John 6:39, “And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.”.
Unfortunately, people think that once they pray that prayer asking for the Lord Jesus that God automatically saves them, yet they don’t pray it earnestly, or in truth. They think that it is the prayer itself that saves them. In essence, they’re using God as a Divine cash register...but those who aren’t saved were never saved to begin with. They pray that prayer out of selfishness, and not to truly be a part of “the Vine” (Jesus). They pray it to save themselves, not for God to save them.
So, I believe once saved, always saved...and those who hear “Not everyone who says ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven” and “depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you” we’re not ever saved to begin with, because they think God OWES them salvation, which He does not. It is a gift given of Him, and He has no obligation to give that gift. Nothing you do can make God give you that gift...He gives it of His own Divine Will and love for His people, not the other way around! Eternal security is granted to those who abide in the “the Vine” which is Jesus...if they abide NOT in “the Vine” (Jesus), then they were never truly saved to begin with, and thus, did not receive that eternal security to begin with.
Stay blessed, Brother (or Sister) 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️

LifestyleOfPeace . com Without a doubt that's wrong and leads to conflict in Scripture. John Piper proved this in that it meant false believers were thrown into the fire, not the true believers producing fruit. We know from James 2 that faith without works does not save and because the Bible doesn't support a works + faith salvation, we conclude faith reaps works. Since true faith naturally will reap fruit when connected to Christ, and it follows false faith will not reap fruit.
Also, Dr. Michael Heiser explained the same thing in a different way (open.spotify.com/episode/3Bx0vC77uZUzpXgywdiirp?si=15_QbsIaQY6PPse6k-Q3FQ). He explained how Jesus definitely was referencing Ezekiel 15. In Ezekiel 15, the religious leaders and those in Israel had no faith in God so they were not bearing fruit. If you listen to the podcast, the conclusion is that if we have true faith in Christ, we will be pruned and do not risk being discarded into fire.
Without a doubt this does not threaten the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints, as Christ is more than strong enough to keep those the Father has given Him, and He will.

If you can lose it then you tried to earn it
I truly feel sorry for Armenian theology and those who think you can be truly saved and somehow slip out of Gods hand
      So sad indeed
