This is absolutely beautiful. Similar circumstances and age here, from china and moved overseas at a young age, and very close to the grandparents. Most of my grandparents have passed on and I only have one grandpa (who can no longer remember most people and events). The biggest regret of my life is not visiting them often enough, and this feeling of being a horrible person haunts me, especially when my grandparents gave me so much love and I was not able to return as much ( or rather I could have at least put in more effort to visit them and to spend quality time together).
It is wonderful to see someone with similar circumstances spending so much quality time with her grandparents. I wish we are friends and we could talk about it together. Sending much love from Singapore.
Sadly my grandparents have all passed, but watching this was really nice and nostalgic ❤

Yuyuan, It's so nice that you always care about your loved ones and come to see them from time to time. I resonate with you so much in that our grandmas are so warm and lovely. I have lived with my grandma since I was born in China. Now I will be taking my master's degree in another country and I will come back frequently as well.
i totally feel u. I grew up in China and started collage in the States two years ago. Didn't go back last summer bc the flight tickets were ridiculously expensive. This summer when I finally went back I could feel the happiness from my grandparents just like your grandparents! and the cake is so nostalgic omg. These cakes just disappear as we grew up.

Crying rn. I was born and raised in Shanghai. Left home to pursue education in the States and been missing home since then. Though I am away, but Shanghai will always be my root. China is home.

I lost both of my grandfathers this past summer and there’s nothing I wouldn’t give for more time with them, and I grew up in the same town with them and still saw them regurarly. I’m so happy you’re able to visit your grandparents more often and love that you want to cherish the time you have left with them. The ache and emptiness they leave behind is something you can never prepare for. Even though this vlog made me miss my grandpas it still made me feel really happy for you❤
