662 clip insert timing is on point. I've never laughed this much from a phone review.
Among the Huawei Nova lineup, I have the Huawei Nova 3i and 5T and I can say that these are the devices that have good designs compare to their predecessor and successor. Because from the glass back they move backward to glossy plastic.

@@kesoplays108 Y9 prime is great because of its full display design but for me, I don't like the pop-up camera module since I'm clumsy and the back part is polycarbonate compare to 3i and 5T glass back.

Ive been using nova 2i for 5yrs but unfortunately i dropped it in the pool. Ive had good experience with huawei thats why ill stick with this brand
Yes..u are rite,i bought Huawei together with my husband in year 2017,he is still using the same hp whereas i m going to buy the 4 th hp after tht Huawei..tht Huawei i gave to my daughter..
I currently use huawei p20 lite since 2018 and its still pretty good
Anyone here agree to me that this is the start of Huawei rise again?, The design of this phone is sick, even it has LCD display still looks amazing specially the bezeless design. Snapdragon 662 so far is descent SoC, it perform well even its just quite old. And for sure we can now upcoming smartphones of huawei with Qualcomm SoC. ✌✌
Nowdays 2021 we can get SD 732G & 720G in that price range and below. Official price for 8i open by Huawei Store in Shopee RM 1299. Surely not everyone will attract to this kind of old chipset. The price will drop down for few months. Just wait. I think Nova 7i is using far more better chipset (HS 710) 🤭

The SD 662 is much more inferior to the Kirin 810 in the cheaper 7i. That along will detract a lot of potential buyers.

I have been using my Nova8i for a few weeks now. And I can say that the phone works pretty well. However, if you are a photo geek or video freak. Definitely be ready with the not so good cameras. It is good for spur of the moment captures, however if you live on capturing every moment of your life, this is not for you. Since I am not a camera focused user. I could say that, they are ok enough.
Hi, am also using Nova8i and its only been a week. I have been trying to set it to light up when i receive messages but i cant find that option. Please help if you know how to set it or please let me know if doesn't have that option

@@muaviyahshafi It is slow, I know. But for me, I am still ok with it. I am still able to use it farely well. I am even using it for work. Though, yes; it could be much much bettee if it has faster processing power.

Bro why are you comparing the nova 8i to those good devices? Their not the same level bro and the price is alot much different.
Nova 5t too is the better nova series plus its powered by kirin 980. Plus smooth 60hz scrolling.

I really wanted to get this phone but you've discouraged me based off it having so many bad features, is there any other huawei device within this price range that you would recommend? I live in South Africa and the prince for that phone is R8000 so I'm looking for anything between that range. 🙏

The display is really awesome , esp the thin bezel .. but it is really difficult to beat its competitor for that price range esp it does not have GMS ... but your review is impressive ...thanks bro

Just got my Huawei nova 7 5g in midsummer purple recently and I would say I'll stick with it for a while... I love it's premium design plus the massive internal storage.

Really neat and beutiful design I love it! But the processor's specs and the hzs are too low according to the price... Too bad I would have gone with it otherwise, hauweii has alway been my best smartphone since now!

1. Lack of GMS
2. No high refresh rate
3. SD662 at that price is unacceptable

This is the reason why Xiaomi beated Huawei, seriously. Build quality, Screen, and Processor of 8i can't even compare to Redmi note 10 pro WHICH IS CHEAPER.

Yeah, at this price range you can get a much faster Snapdragon 7 series phone or even Mediatek Dimensity Phones and some even have 5g capabilities and have a Higher Screen Refresh rate and even better camera. At this point Huawei is just gonna have to rely to its fans for the sell point of this device.

Not really. The new Nova 9 phones look spectacular for that price, but I have to agree that the Nova 8i was really a failure imo. Like, I guess the reason for this unusually high price point considering those specs are the 66w blazing fast charger and high battery. You don’t see that fast charger for the price point. And even though it’s a 4300MAH battery, that’s super good for Huawei phones, considering they don’t have Google Apps to constantly drain the battery, and that’s what makes it amazing! Though, that doesn’t justify the high price. If it had 90hz and SD 730, that would make this phone pretty good! Even P40 lite has Kirin 810 which is close to SD 730 and it’s About $150 cheaper! What does the Nova 8i have that the P40 lite doesn’t? 66w charger? 40w is more than enough, lol.
